Don't believe negative reviews.
I can't believe the negative reviews. I've used Laube clippers for more than 25 years. I love and depend on them. They are what they are. High performance. Not super quiet, low maintenance or light. They perform. I use them heavily. I change the lever monthly. 3rd month a tune up kit. A new power base, latch and hinge as needed. They last a long time.

Not happy
I love laube clippers when they work right! the battery pack on these clippers suck! The battery pack slides out and when it's in it don't fit right causing clippers to bog out! Laube really needs to come up with a better design!!!

These clippers used to be the absolute best, lightweight
Have to agree with the only other reviewer on Amazon for this item. I bought this item from one of my distributors (over 2 hrs, actually bought 2!). I am a professional groomer, 20 years. These clippers used to be the absolute best, lightweight, fast, dependable, you name it - they were great. Now, not so much. Other than they cost more than twice what I paid 12 years ago, the quality in all respects is just horrible, certainly not justifying the huge price tag. Cord pack won't stay on so completing a groom frankly can't be done. Pretty much all of the well known manufacturers of grooming products has gone the same way - huge prices, no quality, no support. Guess that isn't limited to this industry, but it sure makes trying to maintain a reputation of quality for my work difficult. The earlier pair I bought have a defective plug so the power isn't maintained. I even tried to use gorilla glue to keep power cord section attached. Worked for half a groom because the plug wouldn't maintain contact with outlet. This product line has gone from top notch to absolute garbage. Will not buy again & certainly don't/won't recommend any of their products.
