SmaAcc Mini Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Controller

This thing is a mess. Firstly, it requires its own charge, separate from the controller. Not only that, but it even has an on/off switch, meaning that you either have to worry about batteries draining when not in use, or go through one more step to get it going. Finally, it's inconsistent in when it actually seems to want to work.Comparatively, Microsoft's chatpads for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One are plug-and-play, powered by the controller itself, and work pretty universally on their respective consoles. To go from those chatpads to this is... well, it's like amateur hour. This thing is more of a hassle than a benefit, and frankly you're probably better off skipping it.

Great if you are using a PS4 controller for a computer. I am using DS4Windows and it works flawlessly. Works great with Windows 10 and has good battery life and connection. Rarely ever misses a key and I am about 20 feet away from the receiver.It goes in to idle mode when you don't use it for awhile (a few minutes) so sometimes I start typing it misses the first few letters while it reconnects but that's understandable. It was a little weird to connect it at first too I thought for a few minutes I got the wrong model but it just happens to be a very snug fit and needs a little force. Stays on perfectly once on! Very light and basically not noticeable!To log in to Windows with a bluetooth device you need to do this by the way:"Go to Control Panel, Administrative Toold, Services, Bluetooth Support Service, Change the startup type to Automatic, and go to the log on tab up top, and change it to Log On As: Local System Account and Interact with the Desktop, it will run before the logon screen."Edit: Love this keyboard but the power port is poorly soldered making it useless. The original and a replacement both lost their power ports (with very gentle moderate use) within weeks. Unless you're ready to solder a fix for this, do not buy.

I had trouble getting it to attach to the controller at first, but with a little fineness it'll slip in snugly. It linked to the PS4 easily, but at first it wouldn't stay linked. I would have to go back into settings, delete it from the Bluetooth list and then re-link it every time. I'm not sure what I did but eventually it stayed permanently linked to the PS4. The buttons are nice and responsive and the batter lasts a while.The only real complaint I have is that the BACKSPACE key is in the bottom left instead of the top right (like a normal keyboard). I end up hitting '0' every time I try to delete something.

when you connect the keyboard play station start to send audio to the controller and you have to change it from the settings menu to send the audio from your tv or home audio sisstem each time you use it, also you have to charge the keyboard apart from the controller which is annoying and recognice it via bluetooth. I use to have a keyboard for my xbox360 controller and didn't need to charge it, didn't need to make any recognizing from the console and never had the problem to send the audio to the controller, just connect and use, simple, and it is an older tecnology for xbox 360 not ps4, i don't know why this is so bad and burocratic to make it work

For some reason when you plug it in to your dualshock controller, it mutes the audio (even if you are wearing headphones). Right out of the box, the connecting plug that goes into a socket at the bottom of your controller was loose/wobbly. I was hoping for something that I could leave plugged in so that I can type easier, but you need to remove it after using it every time unless you want to play without volume. Disappointing to say the least.

It doesn't work because it doesn't at all fit. I even had a replacement sent to me. I'll be using the PlayStation app instead because all of these on the site seem to actually be the same one. They keys are too soft, the layout isn't the best, and the functions aren't mapped properly for ease of use. Much of that could have been overlooked if it could actually be mounted on a controller without destroying the headset jack on the controller and male end in on the keyboard.

Could not get this to work right. It ruined one brand new PS4 controller and is causing problems with the speaker on my other after 2 days of not getting the thing to work. Very disappointed.

It fit the controller well, and I didn't have a problem with the charging port like other controllers. I occasionally use it while playing final fantasy 14. It does seem to die fairly quickly, so I would have to have it plugged in almost constantly. There was a bit of a lag when I would type something and the buttons are a little hard to press, so I would often have typos everywhere. Overall, it's not a terrible keyboard at all and it's very convenient but I still prefer a good ole usb wireless keyboard
