Wireless Rain Gauge with RCC Rain Weather Station Meter Temperature Recorder Time Calendar LCD Display

This is the first time I have used this brand and had issues getting it programmed. I wasn’t able to get it paired up to the outside unit for rain so will give it another try later.

AMTAST Wireless Rain Gauge with RCC Rain Weather Station Meter Temperature Recorder Time - outside temperature is WRONG. 10am actual outside temp was 84 and gauge said 116. It was off by over 40 degrees. And not in direct sun or someplace where something else would affect readings. Not acceptable

This rain gauge is easy to install. The bushes are in mms instead of inches. I have not been able to switch it over to inches of rain.

The outdoor sending unit is affected by sunlight. While it seems accurate at night, it is useless when the sun hits it. I was reading temps of 120 to 140.

I couldn't get the Receiving of the Reception of the power thing. lol. I haven't needed it and the gage is fine

Update Sept 2020:Died after 14 months of use. The rain gauge/temperature unit quit working. Tried new batteries, etc. Nothing.First impressions are that it works well. The wireless range is fine for me (maybe 100 feet through a couple of walls). The contrast and viewing angle of the base unit display are good. The remote sensor reads temperature and the rain values acceptably.My only comment is that the rain gauge makes a loud "clack" whenever the internal rocker cycles.Over several seasons we shall see if it continues to work so the jury is out for now...

Mounting screws included in package are inadequate. I needed to find bigger/longer screws with washers to install the remote rain gauge. Also the wall mounting screw was very small for drywall mounting. Would suggest this company include a larger and longer screw to allow a sturdier wall mount.

Don't know much about it but my dad was real pleased to get this as a gift He really liked that it gave rainfall in inches instead of a bar graph

The temperature sensor inside the unit is utterly pointless, as it can read anything from 1 to 12 deg C high, it's never right. Obviously as the sun falls on this wee plastic box, it warms up inside, like a mini greenhouse.Wireless connectivity worked straight away, and I set the clock manually.Apart from the useless temperature sensor, it seems to record rainfall OK, which is all I really wanted.

Easy enough to check the accuracy of the readings given for temperatures and pressure, which are quite accurate but cannot check the accuracy of the amount of rain. I would have to purchase a separate marked rain collecting container to compare. Very disappointed with the display, I have to adjust the angle of the panel to read the figures clearly. I would not mind pay a bit more for a back-lit display. On the whole I am happy with the product.

Outdoor Temperature measurements are usually done in the shade. So how can you get an accurate outdoor Temperature in the shade and still get an accurate rainfall reading?

......for rain (unusual for the Highlands) but the gauge worked well and we will now measure the expected 60 inches over 12 months!!!

This item is useless. Yesterday the rain gauge showed 1.2mm in 24 hours but the difference in the total for the same period was 9.6mm and this is common. Also it won't find the correct time wherever I put it and when I enter the correct time manually it changes it to an incorrect time.
