Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Eye Liner # Penny Lane, 0.01 Ounce

I have to admit, I partially bought this eyeliner for the name:) I already have the "Sparks" eyeliner pencil (a dark sparkly graphite color), that I pretty much wear every day and love, but wanted something more subtle for church and work. Turned out to be a perfect choice. Goes on smooth, and is a bit lighter and more forgiving than a darker color. The color itself is like a dark bronze penny, with an undertone of shine (not sparkly). Huge fan of the "always sharp" part, with a twist you have more liner... and don't have to deal with a sharpener. I'm hooked, won't go back to regular pencil!

I love everythng about this eyeliner. From the self-sharpening tip, to the beautiful penny lane color (that highlights my brown eyes) to the fact that it goes on easy and it lasts all day!

Not your normal eyeliner pencil. Smashbox has invented Always Sharp for those of us who are too lazy to sharpen the tip before every usage. Makeup artists recommend sharpening pencil liners before every use to always have a fresh (not dried-out) point. You'll get a professional looking application this way.If you don't know how to properly sharpen this eye pencil you wouldn't be able to sharpen it at all. The only way that you can sharpen this eyeliner is by closing the cap all the way tight. You also can't extend it beyond the normal amount for the same reason. The cap has a sharpener inside and automatically puts the perfect point when closing the cap.Love Love Love the shade Penny Lane for blondes and brunettes. This is a soft warm brown that's not too dark or too light. It's just right for me. I took off one star because it moves during the day even though I try to set it with HD powder or setting spray - it still bleeds and looks worn off. The liner does smudge during the day on me - probably because I always use eye cream first.

Smashbox eyeliner is the only product I'll use. It lasts all day with little to no need for touch ups. They have a great variety of colors, including lighter shades (penny lane is great for fair hairs like myself who prefer a more natural look). But the biggest selling point for me is that it does not bother my very sensitive eyes. I've been using it exclusively for over a year now, and still no issues.

I had a hard time finding a lighter brown liner. The color is perfect if you don't like the darkness found in most.

I have purchased this product for over three years and have not had problems. Over the last year, I have noticed a shorter life span of the pencil. This time, the pencil was dry and was not able to apply correctly without smudging and skipping. If you can see the photo of my finger, you will see the skip of line when I tried to press down. I have also witnessed the shorter length of the eyeliner pencil.Maybe this pencil is old stale, I can not use it. Nor can I see the amount remaining inside the container. I can feel the pencil and it is stiff, not fluid, which normally is what this p product produces and normally what I count on to be able to apply make up to my eyes. I would like a refund please.
