Great read
A wonderful look into a world we often do not want to see. I was drawn into the lives of this rag-tag group of people. The author engaged me with a diary like narrative, sending my emotions thru a whirlwind of compassion, and anger, taking a look at an ugly, brutal life style. Well done. The size of the book was bit awkward, but that aside, a book well worth recommending.Thank you Ms Delp, looking forward to more from you!

Couldn't Put This Book Down
I read this book in 2 sittings - always wanting to know what would come next. The author's style is crisp and clean. She uses imagery that is painted with few brush strokes of words but evokes a powerful picture of the environment, the characters, and their stories. I think she might be the female Ernest Hemingway of the northwest.

A glimpse of an unvarnished life on the Oregon coast
The picture of this Oregon coast is not what you see on the boardwalk at Seaside. Tough and real, Gwen Delp breathes life into her characters just as the wind brings scrubby evergreens to their knees on the ragged cliffs. Follow young Leah as her mother drags her along, hidden from view in sheds and closets, growing up on warm Pepsi and cold French fries. I love the tender voice that comes through the cruelty this young woman endures. I definitely look forward to more from this Northwest author!

Not for the faint of heart
A gutwrenchng portrayal of.wasted lives. As their past lives are revealed we understand how each persons past affects their present reality. Fascinating characters emerge and we are caught up in their struggles to cope. Get ready for an emotional roller coaster that will make you laugh and cry as they take their soul searching journey. Lives so intertwined they shape each other.

Little Wave by Gwen Delp
This book is the author's literary debut, and written in a manner I expected. . .descriptive and thoughtful. It's full of observations about its characters and the history of their lives that made them who they are. While the chapters are short, Gwen found a unique way to tell this story through the eyes of each character. This author is a prolific storyteller. I'm very much looking forward to what will come next from Gwen Delp.

Wow
The shear dysfunction of these characters makes you shake your head, but artful character development makes want to know more.

A different view of the Oregon coast
This story is a window to a world that exists, invisible, right before our eyes. Read this book if you want a peek into tortured lives you’ve never imagined before. You will never look at the Oregon coast the same again.
