Not only is it big and bulky... its thickness is about 2 in and it's sheerness is flat and dull. I would have said that if the item worked when it arrived. But it did not work when it arrived. I wanted it to but it was dead. Did I mention you have to pay return shipping? I bought this because I Dabble in being a fpv Pilot and this was a great concept to have on a drone. Unfortunately it's way too big and I would have returned it working or not. I do not recommend this 4 fpv

Works decently well, a bit ungainly in the dark (at an event, etc) but of course gets easier with practice and the quality and stability of the images is definitely better and especially when zoomed in from a distance, much less visible shake.

Simple to attach to anything. I use it to record my rowing workouts. Attach it to boat. long battery life, splash proof.

Great quality products, it is very good but not the best the in the market. However, due to price worth buying it.

Great concept but doesn't work very well. Won't hold a charge and doesn't stay level. Possibly a battery issue. Will return and try another.

As others have mentioned, this steady-cam introduces a noticable amount of sway to your filming but eliminates shake. The first time I watched a video after using this, I couldn't help but feel as though I was getting seasick; I find the constant rocking to be literally nauseating. I'm sure not everyone will have that reaction, but for my filming needs, it's not going to work. If you're going to use it while being mostly stationary, perhaps a pivot here and there, then it'll work, but for constant motion, it's a no-go. I'll continue using a "stick", which works fine for most everything, and with a stick, you can reduce shake substantially.The device itself is very high-quality, and the mounting mechanism is intuitive. It'll accept any camera that has the universal screw hole. It'd be nice if they included an attachment for a smart phone. You have to setup your camera to be balanced on the device, and that doesn't take long at all. There are different weights to use based on the weight of your camera, so it's very flexible. The grip is nice, and you can rotate in all directions, but it does have a limit in which you can turn the handle, so anything that exceeds somewhere between 30-45 degrees and the unit will no longer act as a steady-cam.I really wished this worked better, I had such high hopes.

I've been using this for a few days now and although others have given this a 4-5 I'm going with 3 stars because I feel "it's OK." The quality isn't an issue. It's also very easy to use. The biggest issue I have is that this is very prone to sway. I've used a few of these gimbals before and the ones that work the best are much longer in length. The one I use consistently has a 2.5 foot bottom arm. A longer bottom arm tends to mitigate the sway. If you are seated and just panning the camera, with practice, you can get some smooth shots. But if you're walking or riding in a vehicle you won't get rid of the sway without using your other hand to stop it. The bottom arm is just too short. As a trick you can hang a string with a good sized weight hanging from the bottom arm. The longer the string the less sway you'll get. It's all about the physics.Again, this is a top-quality gimbal. Just keep in mind the limitations.

I am new to GoPro but not to photography and video. And, to be honest, I had not heard of such stabilizers. So when I was offered this product for review I jumped on it. I rehabilitate wildlife and am always having trouble keeping the camera steady when trying to follow my subject matter.This device is ingenious! At first it felt a little strange because of the free floating bracket, but in no time did I get the hang of it and just let it go with the flow. Which it does smoothly, as if floating in the air.Smaller point-and-shoot cameras can be mounted on this device as well even though it states that it is built for action cameras. I am having fun using the high speed function on my Panasonic, and this stabilizer helps keep the action smooth.The counterweight is adjustable, as is the bracket, and setup is easy despite the skimpy instructions. Just follow the bubble...Unconditionally recommended! Have fun with this!

Très adaptable à de multiples APN ou caméras sportives ce support pour amortir les aspérités du trajet est facile à utiliser, il suffit d'être méticuleux dans les réglages préalables. Au résultat on peut dire qu'un gain significatif est obtenu pour tout ce qui touche aux vibrations, à la bonne visée, qu'on fait un travelling agréable à regarder et sans effets désagréables si ce n'est une sensation de tangage lié à la marche quand on est à pied, au légers virages quand on est en scooter par exemple. Il faut dire que c'est une nette amélioration car la visée est stable et non aléatoire, il y a peu à surveiller lors de la prise de vue. Je dois essayer prochainement sur mer pour voir si le tangage est accentué par un effet naturel ou si, au contraire l'effet de balancier sur mouvements lents et non centrifuges est amélioré.D'ores et déjà c'est un accessoire très utile pour les séquences vidéo qui nécessitent une visée stable et cadrée sur l'horizon sans avoir à passer son temps le nez sur l'écran de contrôle.

Le X-Steady Lite est livré dans un emballage mousse de qualité. Aspect solide et pro pour ce stabilisateur de caméra.Le test est réalisé avec un APN Sony HX100. En premier il faut trouver le point d'équilibre longitudinal sur la glissière. Le contrepoids sert à la stabilité latérale. Ensuite, on contrôle la position grâce à la micro bulle du niveau.Le reste devient un jeu. Tenant la poignée, on constate immédiatement Le bon équilibre du système qui assure une réelle fluidité à vos exploits de cinéaste en herbe. Nous avons ici une miniature réussie des modèles professionnels.Inutile de dire que j'adore filmer avec cet outil génial.
