Works great!
I'm very happy I got this. Having gone through several small off brand versions over the years I wasn't sure what to expect. The seller contacted me after purchase with a document with additional instructions. There are also numerous videos online. Most of the machines are a different brand but the techniques are very similar. Doing a search for "circular knitting machine" will get you a good start. Some basic tips:- Before starting a project make sure the machine turns smoothly in T (tube) and P (panel) mode.- Don't over tighten the screws on the legs.- Always have some tension on the yarn. It will help prevent dropped or missed stitches.- Not all yarns will work the same. Experiment to see how each works and decide what gives you the desired results for your project.- Watch some FAQ and troubleshooting videos if you have never used a machine like this. After searching some videos online I was cranking out ear warmers in about 30 minutes. Hand knitting the exact same pattern was taking me 6-10 hours. I tested several types of yarn I had and happy it works well with most of them. Learning the right tension for each yarn has been the hardest part.So far I've made ear warmers for Christmas and a couple of hats that I would consider baby/toddler size. Depending on your yarn and tension you will get an un-stretched tube just over 5". The amount of stretch can vary greatly based on the yarn you use. If you want to make hats that fit older children or adults I recommend getting the 48 needle machine. When assembling be careful not to over tighten the screws connecting the legs to the machine. Mine has a small gap. The smoother the surface the better the suction cups work. I've been using a TV tray that has slight texturing. I use my feet and a knee to help brace it as the tray wobbles even without the machine. Using it on a glass top table was the best so far.Overall I'm very happy with my Sentro. The price was the biggest selling point for me.

Quick and easy and fun.
Just learning how to use the knitting loom. You can see my progress andimprovement each time I try. It's quick and easy, les that half the time use for manual loom. The suction cups doesn't work with my work surface so I improvise.

Easy to use… after you learn the basics
My first love is crochet, but I’ve seen people whipping out hats in these knitting machines, so I decided to give one a try.The first night we used it, my daughter and I thought all was going well until we tried to cast off. After watching some YouTube videos, we figured it out. Even now, though, we like to cast off with waste yarn. These hats are so quick and easy to make. We can’t wait to try some other patterns.

Great but...you get what you pay for...
This is my second Sentro machine, my first was the 40 hook one and it worked okay. I wasn't going to write a review but because of the problem I'm having, I thought it'd be best. The machine works great at first, easy to turn the handle and it seems to run pretty smoothly. There is a row counter on this machine that comes in handy but this is the problem. After making a few things (literally, maybe 4 or 5 hats and a scarf) that would equal out to possibly 600 rows I've done altogether on the machine, it started becoming very hard to turn after each row (every time the row counter would go up 1 row). It is now near impossible without force and it skips rows (will go past a row without turning the row counter or will half turn the counter in the middle of a number. I watched it do this). I'm not sure if this is something that I should take the machine apart for, but seeing as it's still a pretty new machine and I've only used it a few times, it's not good, and I don't want to ruin anything even more.I have not however, had any problems with dropping stitches. I have only used pretty lightweight yarn, like Caron Soft or ILTY. Nothing too thick, so I know it's not a problem with using too thick yarn or anything.I am about ready to return the machine only because of the problem of not being able to even get past a row without making the machine sound like it's about to break. I will give it one or two more goes and see if anything has changed. It was also pretty quiet when I first got it, but now is very loud. Hope some of this has helped you.

Disappointing
The suction cups didn’t fit, so I had to hold onto to keep it from sliding. The instructions were terrible, had to search out instructions on YouTube. But it dropped stitches no matter how slow I went and the yarn tangled very easily in the machine. Cheaply made with cheap accessories. Definitely a huge disappointment.

Seller and machine are worth the buy!
I am giving this 5 stars because the seller provided amazing customer service!!!! The first machine I got the eel heel was skipping gears and sounded like it was going to break even on medium tension.... I wasn’t going to say anything because it was my first one and I thought it was normal or I was doing something wrong. But then I got my Sentro 48 and it wasn’t doing it. STILL I wasn’t going to say anything. But I saw I got an email from the seller asking how the machine was doing. When I told the seller they sent me a replacement for free to test to see if the one I had was in fact defective!!! The one I got doesn’t skip gears and I am one happy girl! I had to test it the moment I got it! Just made the baby hat to go with this mom/Dad hat made on the 48... SUCH A HAPPY WOMAN!

Amazing product
Right out of the box... After watching a few you tube videos. This was just a quick hat... The first hat and baby cocoon I did with the 48 needle machine is the second picture. These knitting machines work great. Just take the time to educate yourself on how to use it and you'll find that you have less complainants.

Cheap
These tend to break very easily and had to get the gear replaced a few times.
