(I have had several surgeries on my hands), & this has helped with the tasks at hand.Sure, these type of shears can be a little noisy. The best way to help reduce the noise, it to lift the material you are cutting - slightly - off the table. . . the sound will vibrate making it louder.and do Not attempt to cut more than 6 layers of medium weight fabric. . . This is what I have found with these (and other brands of a similar type).Purchased in June, 2020. . . Starting having issues right away with the switch turning off during use.I used these a few times now & then for about a month & got tired of it turning off during use. . . Stopped using.Its now February 2021 - - - Decided to use again. . . Used for a couple times & this last time I turned it off, it will NOT turn back on! - - - Guess the switch finally gave out. . .Previously wrote to the seller, regarding this issue. . . No reply, so I left a 1 star review, to get the Sellers attention- so they would answer me. . . They did reply to me this time.Seller was kind enough to send me another unit! Yay! This time- No issues!I am one happy customer! Thank you!

I create costumes and sew every day. How have I not purchased one of these until now?! This is awesome. So far I've used it to cut all kinds of fabric, everything from sheer, to silk, to double layers of thick polar fleece. SO nice. I also used the other blade it comes with to cut cardboard. It cut through it like butter! The battery life (so far) has been really good. And it comes with a second battery, so I always have a battery charging for when the other one runs out. Yes this thing is kind of loud like some of the other reviewers mentioned, but who cares! It's not like you have to wear ear plugs or anything...it's just got a loud buzz. Big deal, people whine too much about dumb things. The important thing is that this works great, gets the job done, and saves my hands and joints from all that cutting! I would totally buy this again.

It cuts fast and is easy to hang on to. It is kind of loud but can wear ear plugs. I like the 2 different cutting heads and the extra battery and charger.

The amount of power in the 4V Lithium battery makes the knife just glide through fabric. I've cut wool coating, delicate knits, sweater knits and satin like lining material. All were left with clean cut edges. It's easy to hold and the bottom of the blade is smooth so you can cut the fabric on your floor, or carpets or tables without a cutting mat. The knife comes with 2 blades: one for fabric and one for thicker items like cardboard or plastic. It's re-chargeable and very convenient. The only complaint I have is the amount of noise it makes. I feel like I should be wearing some kind of hearing protection.

Cutting fabrics with scissors or rotary cutters gets more difficult as my hands and fingers age! I decided to give the device a try. Holy Smokes. Does it ever cut. I can do a double layer of foam interfacing at one time. The action is smooth and I have not had any accidental wrong cuts. The set comes with ear plugs to protect the ears from the loud sound. But, for a few seconds here and there, I don’t feel they are necessary. I am very happy I bought this cutter.

I love how much faster it is to cut fleece for my projects and how much easier it is to get a straight, clean edge. I have developed arthritis in my hands this past year and these are much more comfortable to use than scissors. These charge lasts on the battery much longer than it says, which is a plus, and it's so convenient to have one battery charging while using the other. The heavy duty blade is great for boxes and thicker objects like rubber mats but I couldn't get it to work with carpet :( And it is a bit noisy but not as bad as what some people say in my opinion. Certainly doesn't warrant ear plugs unless you have sensitive hearing.

I’ve had this Hawkforce scissors for about a month now. They started out GREAT! Easy to use, fast, cut through 4 heavy layers of cotton fabric like butter for quite a while. The blades started snagging the material after about 3 weeks (dulled) and replacement blades aren’t available! Now what? They can’t be sharpened either. Unfortunately I’ll be returning these and getting a brand that offers replacement blades when needed through more than only Amazon.

This product does a wonderful job cutting cardboard boxes so they can be recycled. Use of this product hashas made this unpleasant task so much easier and faster. I had a minor problem with the scissors when I initially received it. An email to the company was promptly answered and the issue was quickly resolved. Their customer service was exemplary!
