resets and/or spontaneously switches periodically
Initially it seemed like a nice little unit. The USB ports are a bit tight as mentioned in other reviews, but they loosen up a bit after three or four insertions.I was using the switcher for USB headphones and I noticed the music would occasionally cut out for a second or two. It wasn't a predictable interval when it would cut out; sometimes it was 10 minutes other times a couple of hours. I initially thought it was a different piece of equipment (the headphone was also new and I had a couple of other new pieces of equipment in the music path as well), but after trying various configurations I was able to confirm the rest of the hardware was working correctly, and therefore deduced that it must be the USB switch. Removing the switch from the equation indeed solved the problem.I suspect either the switch was resetting or was spontaneously switching to the other input for a second or so and then switching back. Needless to say, I wasn't touching the button on the USB switch when it happened. This might not be too much of a problem for some types of USB equipment such as a printer, but it's a non-starter for music.I gave 3 stars (rather than 1) because A) I don't know whether I have a defective unit or if it's a design flaw, and B) if it is a design flaw, given the high quality of other aspects of the switch and the fact that the unit might be useful in other situations, it seemed like 1 star was a little harsh. Just beware - if you're going to listen to music over USB, this unit might not be the one for you.

Great for a home office with multiple devices
TL;DR: 4/5 devices, for sure worth the price. Works great 99% of the time but sometimes have to unplug and plug back in my mouse after it freezes from switching. Ports are a bit tight, so be careful if you are unplugging something.Full review: I'm working from home as a lot of people are, and I have my office set up with both my work computer and my personal computer. There are times during the day where I will need to switch back and forth between the two for various reasons, but having multiple keyboards, mice, microphones, etc. was a hassle. This has basically solved that problem for me. My current home setup has my keyboard, mouse, webcam, and microphone plugged into it. If it had one extra USB, I'd also plug my headset into it. The switching back and forth is easy, just tapping the button to go back and forth between the two devices. My only real complaints which keep this from being 5/5 is that there are times where some devices, specifically my mouse, will freeze and require to be unplugged and re-plugged into the switcher to begin working again. That leads into my second issue (which has actually lessened over time) of the ports being incredibly tight. I could imagine it being possible that you could strip your device's USB housing if you aren't careful by wiggling it out slowly. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who has a home office setup similar to mine, though it may be worth investing in one with more ports.

Excellent Customer Service
UPDATE: I reached out to the company for support. They sent me the updated model (USB 3.0) at no cost. They were very quick to communicate with me and keep me updated, also following back up to make certain it was working well. I 100% trust this company now and would recommend them to anyone, anytime.Since I'm working from home now, I wanted a switch for my keyboard dongle, and a few other accessories to go between two laptop docks (work and personal).PRO:-I thought I would have to use the switch button to tell the device which dock to use, but to my surprise it is autosensing. So, depending on which laptop dock I am using at the time, it will use that input. Because of this I can now also hide the switch and all the wires out of the way for a cleaner look.-Built of good materials, does not feel cheap and plasticky as other devices can.CON:-If you plug in a USB into an output, forget about ever taking it out. It's SO tight that my USB to USB-C dongle won't come out. I'm afraid to use pliers on it because I think it will break. I had an exceedingly challenging time removing just a standard USB cable as well.

Works better than anticipated
I was pleasantly surprised by how the unit functions. I have it connected to two different laptops (work and personal). Both share a monitor, so it's rare they're both on at the same time. I used to switch the USB-corded full size keyboard from one to the other, as well as blue-tooth mouse. This allows me to leave both connected to the unit and the unit connected to each laptop at all times. When one laptop is off, the unit automatically switches to the one with power. No need for me to press the toggle button. Another reviewer mentioned the USB ports were tight. This is true. I was a little worried at first, but I was able to insert the keyboard USB cord and mouse dongle with a little extra force. They both came back out with a little encouragement and the ports were a little less tight after that. The unit seems light, it doesn't like to lay flat as the various cords pull up on it, but it's under a desk, out of the way. I didn't buy if for the aesthetic. Very happy with it after a few days use.
