Integrated controller is biggest flaw
The fan aesthetics is this ceiling fan's biggest strength. But the limitations that come with having an integrated controller makes this fan average at best for me. Some of the limitations:1. If you have a dual wall switch setup, the light switch will only function if the fan switch is on. This is because the integrated controller only draws power from the fan switch. The only way to control the fan speed is with the remote, not a fan wall control switch.2. Because of limitation #1, there is no smart home control option. For normal pull chain fans, you could always install Z-wave or WiFi smart switches to control the fan and it's light. The integrated controller prevents this option since turning off the fan via the wall switch turns off all functionality of the fan.3. The led light is a not very bright soft white bulb. There doesn't appear to be brighter replacement bulb options on the market that will fit in this fan.The details on the integrated controller isn't mentioned on any of the product descriptions of the fan. If I had known, I would have passed on this fan and looked for a pull chain option (or at least one of their SimpleConnect fans).
