Very poor vein illuminination unless the patient has very thin
Very poor vein illuminination unless the patient has very thin, pale skin. Even in the dark, it performed very poorly. If it was worth the headache of standing in line at the post office, I would return it. Not even worth the hassle.

Shows veins as dark lines
I have hemophilia. After 60 years of having blood drawn and infusions, my veins are horrible in my hands and wrists. It's the first (and only) place they want to stick me every time. With this I can prove to them, they aren't going to find a good vein there no matter how good they think they are. I hate being stuck multiple times because I end up bruised so badly it looks like I was beaten up. Had to use this last week and the nurse got so mad I have it, she wanted to stick me in my hands again and I was able to prove to the doc my veins are shot. Ended up with the IV almost in my underarm once I was able to show her where my last good vein is in my arm. Sensitive area for an IV so she purposefully made it hurt since she wasn't allowed to stick my hands or wrists. Nasty nurse but at least I didn't come home looking like I was almost beaten to death.

Worth it. Maybe not, UPDATE
It works. Upon using it you'll understand why the expensive version with the ' shaped ring of LEDs was developed, but as a poor man's version it actually works. My veins are hard to spot and this helped me find a bunch of them in varying sizes. Worth the money.UPDATE: within a VERY short span of time, for LEDs, Iām talking just a few weeks, the individual LEDs thwarted burning out. Like. WAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too fast for an LED which is supposed to give you typically thousands of hours of use. (Even hundreds would be nice, this was like tens of hours). Not worth if if it requires replacement all the damn time. Of course this happened out of the return period. So, F me.

I expected a more subtle view of the veins with this, it work, not saying it doesn't but it takes a bit to get a hang of it, and it depends on the skin color as well, the darker the skin the harder to see it becomes, because the veins look as a black shadow.

Not effective
Not easy to find a superficial vein. It would have worked if the bulbs were designed to arch like the vein lite brand. Light is bright but finding a vein "good luck"

better than PICC nurse
this product is great and I use it so I don't have to call the PICC team nurse.

They do not work.
All it is is a red light. It does not help to find a vein. I wasted my money. It is a joke.
