I have a Jeep Wrangler JK. Anyone listening to the stock sound system knows it's terrible, and even when upgrading all the speakers, head unit and amplification, it's nowhere near enough sound output, especially if you take the top off the Jeep. I wanted to add subs, but didn't want to take up the limited "trunk" space; I also didn't want to build something I'd be removing if I wanted to snuggle in the back while at the drive in theater (these still exist!) or bring a bunch of gear with me camping, etc.I was able to install this unit under the front passenger seat - it's out of the way, and sounds awesome - it *really* fills out the sound in the cabin, and with the rest of my (relatively modest) sound upgrades, rocks with deep punch even at freeway speeds with the top off. I listen to just about everything, including Jazz, Rock, Pop, House/Techno/D&B/Dubstep...it handles it all surprisingly well.If you're looking for power that will shake *other people's* vehicles, you're probably not considering a compact self-powered unit like this anyway, but if you need a legit bottom end that can handle deep, mirror shaking bass while keeping room for your things, or just tuck it out of sight from prying eyes, this is an incredible value.Note for off-roaders: installing mine under the front seats means that I need to be extra careful about water - I don't normally plow through 3' deep mud or cross rivers, but definitely make sure you use appropriate fuse protection to protect the amp - I've wrapped wiring and connections tightly to try and keep water out, and also have an extra fuse in the engine compartment for each of my powered pieces of equipment.

I don’t usually leave reviews but for this I felt I needed to. I bought this for my 2017 Tacoma. The stock stereo was decent but it needed a little extra thump. After doing a ton of research on options, I chose this for the ease of installing under a seat. When under the seat it sticks out about 5” and I can’t move the seat forward or backwards. I had to move it behind the back seat in one of the storage areas. Not a big deal, I still have more storage. I rate it 4 stars because it’s not a top of the line professional subwoofer/amp. For the money it’s good and gets the job done. It took about 2-3 weeks to break in before it actually sounded good. Other subs don’t have break in time. Overall I like it. It’s compact and hits hard.

Well I have a 05 dodge ram didn't want to take up all my cubbys under back seat. Hooked this bad boy up & sounds great had to raise my back seat up 1" but so easy. Recomend if you buy dont power it up full range let it work in for a few or you will not get good sound just know from experience of others iv had. But this one beats what iv had in the past

When bought this I wasn't expecting to shake the car apart, just wanted to add some boom to the bass in the rear of my vehicle. It's a mid-sized pickup truck so I have limited space. That being said I have been disappointed by the output of this sub. What I have noticed it does help with basslines if you know what I mean, but if you're listening to a song that booms the sub will disappoint. My factory subs in the doors give me more boom then this sub. I guess it depends on the genre of music you listen to and how loud you like your music that will determine if this is the sub for you.Space wise it's great was able to stick in under-seat storage in the rear of the truck. All in all I brought it so I'll keep it. But if I had it to do over I would probably do a more traditional set-up and get a custom box made
