Media Storage Pedestal - Espresso

This was the first piece of furniture I've purchases thus far from Amazon. I was definitely impressed with the shipping on this item. The packaging was very sturdy, my pedestal arrived with zero damage. I was a little worried about purchasing such a large item through Amazon, as I have received much smaller and less costly items completely damaged due to inadequate padding inside the shipping box. That was not the case with this storage pedestal. It looks like the manufacturer took care of those issues ahead of time as this appears to have been well packaged straight from the factory.Aside from all of that, I am completely pleased with this storage pedestal. It is low profile (I have limited space) and holds a tremendous amount of media. It also comes completely assembled, except for the adjustable shelves (another plus) which must be installed into the unit after unpacking (easy to do, no tools required). It is sturdy and the finish is nice. It blends well with the other pieces of furniture I have in the living room and also provides a place to display a photo frame or two on the top. You could use this item as a pedestal for a small set of speakers (i.e. one pedestal for each speaker) as the top of the unit is one level surface that does not separate when the door to the cabinet is opened (kind of hard to tell from the pictures). I might order another of these and use them for that purpose.I really like this pedestal! I'm so glad I decided to give it a chance. It has turned a messy nightmare in my entertainment hutch into a non-issue. My advice is to give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed in this.

I’m Jennifer and I purchased this on a family members Amazon account.I don’t really have much nice to say about this. When I opened the package it smelled so HIGHLY of fish, not even joking, and I had to open my windows. I proceeded to take it out of the box only to see that the door is hanging off of the bottom hinge. Literally just hanging. I managed to fix that and was thinking ok no big deal. Yeah I was wrong. I found a massive scratch on one of the shelves, thankfully it’s on a small side and can be turned around. Then I found three dings, a small piece of the wood is broken and the instructions are terrible. No words, just pictures with poor labeling. I have never left a review this bad and I should have listened to the others on it. With as well as this was packaged, they didn’t do all that great of a job not to damage it before hand. Pictures will be included.

I was at a friends house and I noticed some nice looking wooden pedestals! Lo and behold he revealed the delicious dvd morsels inside! I was impressed. My friend bought them two years ago from target for 149.99 each! I decided to buy one because I have my dvds in white boxes in the garage and I wanted them where I could to them easier. I hate how DVDs cases look because of all the contrasting colors so this was perfect.It comes fully assembled and all you have to do is put in the metal pegs and the shelves and it's done. It looks like it is ma de from real wood as opposed to particle board and feels solid. I plan on putting my Xbox360 on top of it. Overall it has a very clean and clear appearance.My only gripe was the unit was damaged when I got it. The bottom right hand corner has a pretty nasty looking dent on top and on the very bottom. It's going to be a waste of time send it back but I figure it's not worth it. I do think it's a bit overpriced at 188 dollars but at 149.99 it would be perfect. I hope I can work with Amazaon to either give me a discount on this one or give me a better price on a second one since I have a few DVDs that did not fit. There was also a scuff where the door would slightly touch the top of the base of the pedestal.

I received My DVD/CD Holder in GREAT shape. The ONLY One thing is to make it not Damaged was to styrofoam “TOTALLY” around it. I did have a struggle taking it out, “DON’T” use a knife to open the Box because it will Damage it ! Definitely Look at the pictures because not doing it will be frustrating putting in the Shelves, ( I didn’t do look at the pictures). You choose where the shelves go. For just DVD’S I put My whole Collection in it !I Was “VERY” Happy with it !

I did a lot of homework on what my precise needs were and the dimensions of the place where I wanted to put the item. It arrived in perfect condition. It was easy to assemble because I referred to the pictures and not the instructions. The flexibility of the moveable shelving is fantastic. I have repeatedly rearranged the shelves as my DVD collection continues to grow. I recommend leaving the shelves out until the unit is in place, then attaching the swinging portion, and finally installing shelves. This makes installation a one-man job.I highly recommend this unit!

I purchassed the espresso color one. It is a very rich dark brown. It came in cherry also, but i was afraid it would be too red. I do not know for sure. Because it is hard to tell by the pictures. The other dealer that sold it, called it rich dark cherry. I was afraid that one would red, so i opt for the espresso. The espresso color looks very good where i have put it and it blends very well with the other furniture wood tones. It is not black in color only dark rich brown. And as far as the storage part it is the answer to my needs. Stores a lot of DVD's or other media. I Got my dvd's out of shoe boxes. The cabinet takes up very little room. I am very satisfied with my purchase. it arrived in good condition. You only need to put in the shelves.  SEI Black Media Storage Pedestal, Espresso
