SOOOOO CLASSIC
i just bought it for snes and it is such a reminder of the mid 90's for me back when i used to play it on my now-stepfather's former-genesis hahah it was so fun back in 96 when i was 4-5 and its just as fun to me today as it was then. it just brings up memories of me trying to time my characters jumps to jump over objects/pits and him swinging a rope or something like that. mannn if you have the money and the system, get THIS game, it truely ROCKS HARRRDDDD!!!!p.s. for anyone confused by the phrase "now-stepfather's former-genesis", by "now-stepfather" i meant that he is my stepfather of almost 12 years but at the time he was my moms boyfriend and by "former-genesis" i meant that he had a Sega Genesis but he has not had on in about 14 or so years

A pretty standard platformer
A pretty standard platformer. After a while I got bored with jumping up a bunch of platforms, missing a jump and having to start over.

Underrated game
Really fun game! Mine arrived in very good condition and plays perfectly! It is way ahead of the original pitfall game for NES, for sure. I played a demo of the PC version of this game (on one of those compilation "shareware" CDs) and liked it even though the graphics were kinda choppy. This plays much smoother than the PC version. As with most of the less-popular titles; I can see why some people don't like it. Run around, jump and collect weapons and treasures, fight wildlife-type enemies; that's it. Seems kind of like the Indiana Jones games (never played them). Still a fun challenging game. Your character jumps in a more realistic way and the animation is all somewhat playful and silly.

Childhood relived!
For those that are not aware, BOTH Pitfall games are included in this cartridge, the original 1981 Atari 2600 version (actually bought this cartridge because of the original version) and, of course, Pitfall The Mayan Adventure.To access the original version, At the title screen press Select, A, A, A, A, A, A, (A 6 times) then Select.
