Thick wool, and yes be prepared for the wool to shoot everywhere the first go around. it did a great job buffing with wax and polishing my vehicle.will purchase again

I use this wool buffer for buffing guitars after painting and wet sanding and it works perfectly. Used with Meguiar's Fine Cut Cleaner, it brings my clear coat to a high gloss sheen. The velcro backing sticks well to the electric buffer, and the pads last a good long time. They are a bit pricy, but are worth the money. Highly recommended.
