This cel is beautifully reproduced and of excellent quality. The actual image is 5" x 5" but the piece is matted to 8" x 8" overall. The cel has two levels, with the children and umbrella on the front cel and the looming figure and blue background on the back cel, creating an interesting depth of field. The two levels are separated with a .25" layer of foam sandwiched between the front mat and the backing. The front mat is black with a white core; simple, but elegant.Please note: removing the cels from the mat is next to impossible, and will probably damage the piece. If you prefer to mat the cels in a color other than black, you will probably need to place a new mat on top of the existing black mat. The piece also requires a frame deep enough to accommodate its .25" thickness. Luckily, 8" x 8" is a standard frame size. I found plenty of suitable of 8" x 8" frames at my local craft and department stores.

This was a little smaller than I had envisioned - my problem, not the manufacturer. It also looks framed, but it is not - also my problem for not reading the specs more closely. The picture is layered so it looks 2D, with the children and the umbrella in the foreground and the creepy man in back. Very good quality and really cute - a must-have for Gorey fans!
