Rule-Mate RM2000A Automated Bilge Pump, No Float Switch Required, 2000 GPH, 12 Volt , White/Blue

These are great pumps. Out last all of them. This seller is priced high. I could by for $169 local in Miami.

Just installed this unit as a direct replacement - previous unit at least 3 years old (as long as I've had the boat). Lack of cleaning may have caused prior unit to fail - impeller sheared off - basket and filter screen were clogged with bilge debris. New unit has hose connections that are slightly longer than the previous unit which caused a problem for the hoses that were a tight fit to begin with - had to cut ties and was not able to re-support as it was prior but it should be fine. I now have a scheduled maintenance item to inspect bilge pump screens every month (should of done that to begin with).

In a sailboat with a very deep keel, mounting has always been a problem, to keep from moving.But used same technique as previously done, using pvc pipe and clamps to position.Pump is excellent and really appreciate the enclosed and therefore protected switch.Pumps well, and very low. Good product.

Was confused on wiring diagram. Had another friend coach me on use of man/off/auto switch after installation. I hooked brown striped and black wire to switch wiring. This gave me manual function. I then put a fuse on brown wire coming from pump and wired directly to Perko switch terminal that is hot all the time. I now have auto function regardless of Perko switch position. Auto function at helm now is eliminated.

Second one I own and I trust it to work every time

Very nice bilge pump....installed easily and workers very nicely went water get in the boat

It has a different base from previous models so it is not a drop in...took a while to figure out in the usual inaccessible space.

Does what it suppose to but way over priced.
