Super comfortable
These things are great. I love my hydro mocsI originally found this sandal at a discount store in a greenish color, figured I can use them around the house. But the water mocs soon became my go to shoe for recovery and everyday wear around the house. For me, they have a great balance of weight, stability and comfort for a foam sandal.I can wear them all day without fatigue. My feet feel normal after wearing these. II have a few pairs of recovery sandals from various manufacturers but I wanted something with a back side. After ordering this cool color, I came up on some nike rejuven8, they felt great in store, but after wearing them for long periods, they made my feet feel sore. I'm back to my mocs, good job Merrel.

Comfy!!!
I’m so happy I bought these! I usually wear 9.5, on average because of the fit of each shoe. Decided to get size 9 because reviews say they run big. Size nine is perfect! Just about a half inch bigger but that’s great for me. They do not fit loose, actually quite snug (being that they’re brand new) so I’m sure over time they might loosen up a tad but great fit overall! They feel softer than I thought they would be, as I thought I would have to break them in. I bought these during Prime Day so for me they were $33. Bought them asap and bought the green ones as well. Very happy with these!Update as of 8/22/24: these moc’s are still very comfortable! The only negative I will say, is that they’re wearing out too quickly for my liking. I have not worn these often, granted I’m on the heavier side of life😂 but I wouldn’t say that’s a deal breaker for me. I’m still very happy I bought them! If I paid full price, I might drop the stars down on the rating..

Comfortable!
Simply put, these are great water/summer shoes. However the sizing runs very large. Taking advice from other reviews, I ordered 1.5 sizes down from my normal shoe size and they fit perfect (usually I wear size 10.5, ordered size 9).

Yes!! What I have been waiting for in wide water shoe -- however!
I got these 3-1/2 years ago, so thought it time to update my original review (see below). These are still OK, especially when wearing them on wet, slippery rocks in Maine where we do not have sand. The EVA soles are almost as good as felt soles for gripping rocks with algae growing on them, but nobody makes a felt-soled water shoe (fishermen and divers know that felt-soled boots are the best though.) My problem is when you get into sand, wet or dry, these shoes are not good at all. Like all ventilated EVA clogs with holes in them, once the sand gets in, it does not get out quick enough and it just grinds against your feet. If you are hiking in a sandy area, make sure to get a water shoe with fine mesh rather than these. My only other complaint is that if you are climbing on steep ground or angled rocks when these are wet, like most other EVA shoes, your feet will slip around inside the shoe. For this sort of activity, it is much better to have a shoe that ties onto your feet to limit or prevent the slipping around. Everything else is great about this shoe, and my glowing review below still stands even though, I have reduced it by one star to 4-stars.-----------------------These are awesome!! Very, very comfortable, with good arch support. They slip on easily and comfortably and walking is easy wet or dry - even though when wet my feet slip around in them some (as would be expected with most types of shoes/sandals when soaking wet). One of the best features in addition to the comfort for a wide foot (mens 8-1/2 5E dress shoe) is that these have great gripping power in the water on slippery rocks. I expect this will reduce some as the EVA soles get worn down, but these soles are much “knubbier” than something like crocs or a flipflop, and should hold up for a while.Finding a mens 8-1/2 or 9 in 5E shoe of any type that actually fits is really hard. For a water shoe I have mostly been using Crocs for the width, but the Crocs are really slippery on slimy, algae coated rocks in the water, and they fit loosely and fall off when trying to swim. I did get a pair of Croc water sandals (Swiftwater Crocs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EWJT8M6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) and despite all the positive reviews and the fact that regular crocs are quite comfortable, my Swiftwater's have been horrible and they chaffed at both the seams on the side and at the toe. The Swiftwater also has gaps that catch my little toe on both sandals whenever they are wet and my feet started to slip around in them. Although I thought $50 was expensive for a pair of molded EVA sandals, my other Merrell Moab 2’s have fit very comfortably and worked well for me. So I thought I would take a chance on these Merrell Hydro Mocs. Boy am I glad I did - definitely would buy these again!

Light weight comfort
I bought these amphib shoes to aid with a nerve condition I have called erythromelalglia, where the nerve endings make your feet feel like they are on fire. Anything that touches my feet causes the burning to increasingly intensify. Cold air is the only aid. I use these shoes with a pair of Balega compression socks and they work great at keeping my feet cool. The light weight and loose fit seem to be a good combination. I have been wearing these for many months and find them to be very sturdy and durable. I have a second pair standing by for when these get worn out, but there is no evidence that will be any time soon. I highly recommend them.

ABSOLUTE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
Very good product for casual wear around the house or for water activites. I bought them to use them around the lake and boat. Very good material. A definite recommend if you are looking for some sturdy water shoes.

Sizing and comfort...my thoughts?
So if you didn't know there is a difference between men and women. Essentially a men's MOC is wider and slightly larger. Let me explain. I have ordered both women/men for my 9/9.5 feet. Based on the sizing, you should size down so I went with a 9 for both men and women. The women 9 size fit perfectly. I thought I would like the wider 9 men but it's way too wide and slips my foot would slip around in them. In additional if I lift my heel fast enough, it would slip out. Maybe I need an 8 in men? Either way, between the look of the men and women MOC, you really can't tell it's for a women or men. Wearing the women's version MOC that fits my 9 feet perfectly looks like a men's moc. So I suggest to try both to ensure you are getting the proper fit.As far as comfort, yes, probably more comfortable than a CROC then again, I don't own crocks but looks better than crocks. Don't get me wrong, it can be mistaken for crocks :)
