Perfect for small job
I needed a router to cut in hinges for 6 doors. This thing did the job. The first time I ran it, it did heat up quite a bit (hot to tpuch). But I gave it time in between hinges and after a few uses, it didn't heat up. For a small job I highly recommend it. There are no instructions. So the guide that came with it is pretty much useless. Bit using the router itself was quite intuitive. It also came with a 1/4 in bit.

Cheap, only lasted for a day.
The accessories have no instruction on how to use them. It the unit worked for about 3 hours and then just died. DO NOT use this product for any serious routing. It appears to be capable of about the same work as a Dremel tool. Not really worthwhile investment. But then again you get what you pay for. My mistake.

Very low quality
I was well aware of what I was buying. This is a light weight router designed for trimming and light work. But everything was wrong with it. It arrived late (But I could live with that.) The base and cover is made of light duty plastic. I was worried about tightening it too much but it slipped so I cranked it down. It didn't break but it still slipped out of adjustment. The collet (they call it a chuck) was so tight on the supplied bit that I had to open it a little with a screw driver (like the difference between mm and inches). The really big thing was that it over heated very quickly. Routing an edge on very soft wood made it so hot I couldn't hold it. I let it rest for a few minutes but it was still too hot. That's when I decided to return it. The rating on the device is 800 watts. That would be about 6.7 amps and 120 volts. I seriously doubt those ratings. I may not be a professional wood worker but I do know how to use a router among many other tools. I have a full size router that I use often. I was not expecting to use this router in the same way I use my full size router. I bought it to do small light jobs when the other router is just too big and heavy.
