The PAPIFEED slow feed dog bowl most definitely works as advertised. We have two 60lb yellow labs who, prior to using these bowls, would inhale their meals - after introducing them to these slow feeders, meal time has become much less chaotic. Overall, I would say that after starting to use the slow feeders, it takes our dogs about twice as long to eat their food as it did straight out of a normal dog bowl.The built in scale is something I ended up being a way bigger fan of than I thought I would be. I feel better knowing that my dogs are getting consistent portions at every meal now, versus eyeballing what a cup and a half looked like at each feeding. Ironically enough, however, the scale is also one of the reasons I couldn't give the bowl a full five stars. The scale is interchangeable between pounds and grams - just make sure that when you initially put the batteries into the bowl, you select the unit you want to use. To my knowledge, and after reading the product manual, once you put the batteries in the bowl and the unit of measurement is set, there's no way to change it without pulling the batteries out and putting them back in. Overall, not a huge deal, it just seems to me like making it possible to change the unit of measure slightly easier would have been something not particularly difficult to do in the design of the bowl. Additionally, we bought two of these bowls and on both of the bowls the screen had significant scratches (see photos).There were two more minor negatives we noticed with the bowl. First, the anti-skid feet on the bottom of the bowl don't do a fantastic job at keeping the bowl in one place. With this being a slow feeder, expect your dog to be trying to get the food out of all the nooks and tight spaces - with these feet, the bowl is going to have a decent amount of movement. Additionally, one of our bowls ended up losing one of its three feet on the first day of use (pictured).The second negative is the capacity of the bowl . It's really only viable as a slow feeder up to about a cup and a half of food. After that, the kibble will begin to cover the slow feeder portion of the bowl and everything above that can be wolfed down by your pooch as if it was a normal bowl.Overall, despite these negatives, it's still my opinion that this is a great product. I would buy it again and I would certainly recommend to others.

Love these bowls! I bought two for my two Golden Retrievers. It makes it super easy to prepare their food to ensure they get the appropriate amount. Setting the scale to pounds or grams is helpful, too because some dog food bags suggest serving sizes in grams and cups, but grams is a more accurate way of measuring. One of my Goldens is slightly overweight, so this has been great for not accidentally over feeding him! I rinse them out after every feeding and they’re super easy to clean. I thought that they wouldn’t hold all the food, but you can easily fit 2 cups of dry food in the bowl.

This is a very nice bowl that is working well for our Doberman. It holds about 2 cups of food max, which is what he gets twice a day. Occasionally I will have to flip it to let him get the last few pieces, but overall it has really slowed him down but not frustrated him. I tried other bowls before and he would just flip them over. This one works.

this produce really solve my big problem for my dogs. i have big dogs at home, every time they eat dog food just like tornado, finish it in 30 second, its really bad for dog"s health. since i got this bowl, makes my dog eat their dinner more slower. and also can weigh the food. very convenience. gonna buy one more for my another dog.

It is a bit confusing on how to set the weight as well as track how fast my dogs are eating. The instructions are not so helpful. Otherwise, it is a good bowl

So here is the story—we have two cats in our home. One eats gently while the other eats aggressively. Once the other one finishes her food, she will go mess with the other one... this slow eater forces her to eat slowly and it worked pretty well!! I would recommend it to others

Good quality, I did not use the insert because we didn’t need it but the bowl is good quality and easy to clean. This is perfect if you need to weigh out your dogs food (could work for cats too or maybe even small children.....kidding of course)

Nice design and very useful slow feeder for my dog he is always on the Rush and eating food so fast so it does help a lot to control eight time while he’s eating
