Very hard to set up, poor English, missing info in "manual", NO tech support or contact info
Setting up electronics can be a pain and this item reminded me again of past frustrations. Clearly there was no English speaking person involved. I never understand why a manf would not hire a good translator as it would be a small expense. I bought this so I would have wifi in my yard to play movies with our new projector. Problem 1, the tiny manual shows plenty of screen shot of what appears to be a phone app but I could not find the app in itunes. I used a cable to connect to my laptop and the directions in NO way matched was I was seeing. I used the WAN plug and could not get the system running. When I tried the LAN slot it worked. Problem 2, It ended up creating a new network name, with a very strange combination of 2 existing network names I had preset on my router. One day when I am not frustrated I may try to change it to something logical. I am worried when I do the extended might stop working. I see no place in their screens to rename the network so I assume I will need to edit it through my router. There is an implication of a button that sets it to "repeater" and I did not find that. There are a couple of blue lights on the right front. As you can see in the attached "manual" there is no info as to why you would want to use any particular setting. You can see the English is not very good. Remember this "manual" is for the app and if you connect via a cable there is no manual. In the end I went from 1 bar out in my yard, which was basically no usable connection, to 3 out of 4. I have good wifi in the house. I placed the extended in an outlet close to the backyard door. It added 40 ft of range and I can watch videos outside. I am going to leave our 2 computers connected to this repeater to see how stable the connection is. If I have issues with dropped connections I will update this review. I did buy the extended service agreement which is unusual for me but likely a good idea here. For the price, if you do not factor in frustration and a wasted hour, I got what I needed at a good value.

I guess I might try a different brand next time.
The installation instruction were not easy to follow. They appear to be a literal translation from probably Chinese, and they were confusing. I did finally get the booster hooked up and it certainly helped, but I'm wondering if I'm getting all the boost that the device is capable of providing. I'm downloading shows from Netflix, and that was my goal. I don't know if tech support is available. I called Comfast, and got fatigued of waiting. So????

50/50 chance it will work.
This product has stooped working 3 months after purchase due to an electrical short. We have to keep pressing the front cover or the power turns off. A defect we guess. The set up even with Youtube help was a challenge, and each time our internet provider pushed out an update, this device had to be manually reset, no easy & not fun. However; when it was working it was great. The singal boosted just as we had hoped.Purchase knowing you may or may not get one that works.

Great extender
I purchased and installed this for my parents who had their modem in their basement for whatever reason. This device allowed that signal to extend all throughout their upstairs and provide great streaming speeds. The instructions are easy to follow but keep in mind, you will need a mobile device or tablet for easy installation but provides additional instructions for set up in case you don't have those.

Not worth the money
Definitely easy setup. Unfortunately the signal seems to go in and out from the extender. Not worth the money.

Basic Repeater that gets the job done!
I have been meaning to get a repeater for while now because the wifi signal downstairs is pretty bad. The setup was quite easy and the instructions were not difficult to navigate. I set it up via wireless mobile and hard wire desktop without any issue.Pros:Cost effectiveEasy to setupSimple instructionsMultiple functionsCons:Takes up 2 power plugsThe 5.8GHz doesn't have as much range as 5.0GHzThe reality is, if you need a cost effective/budget solution to get more wifi coverage this works fine. It won't break the bank, can be setup via mobile and can help add a layer of security to your wifi.

Does Not Work
It simply doesn't work! I do not recommend. Don't waste your time. Buy a mesh system. It's the only thing that worked for me.
