This one seems to be better made than my old one
Ihave been using the same Ah So style opener for over twenty years. I prefer it to a cork screw because it does not damage the cork. When I misplaced my old one i ordered this one. I have since found my old one. They work identical. This one seems to be better made than my old one.If any one has any problems with this, it's probably because they don't know how to use it.Insert the longer prong on one side of the cork then insert the shorter prong on the other side. Gently rock the Ahso from side to side until it seats itself. While twisting the opener gently pull the cork from the bottle.I highly recommend this opener.I hope that I don't misplace mine again, but if I do, I will be buying another.I am that satisfied.Thank you.I hope that my review was useful to you

Works if you know how to use it
I've used this on a range of corks from a brand new bottle to a 14 year old wine. The trick is that after you wiggle the prongs down, you pull up with a twisting motion with the pull. It does do some damage to the outside of the corks which maybe less desirable if you're saving the cork for the printing/memento. I've used the puller to "rescue" an older cork that a traditional corkscrew shredded halfway out.

Use for synthetic corks
Our go-to tool for synthetic corks. And these are a lot more compact than most cork screws. Only downside is if you are not careful inserting the tines along the edge of the cork and wiggling the puller back and forth to seat it, you can push the cork into the bottle.

Perfect product for the certain situations
In the old days, the two prong cork screw was not a premium product. There are certainly openers that will open 95% (99% ?) of all bottles with less effort. HOWEVER, if you have an old cork that is starting to crumble, I have never found a better corkscrew than the two prong for getting that cork out. So get a rabbit ears for most bottles, but if you drink older bottles of wine and are wondering how to get the cork that is simultaneously 'stuck' and crumbling, this is the best product I have found.

Works as Advertised
This type of device is the only way to go when a cork disintegrates in the neck of the bottle and cannot be removed with a traditional corkscrew. This works as advertised; you work it down each side of the cork until it is totally into the neck, and then you carefully wriggle it out. Sometimes you don't get all of the cork, in which case you push the remainder into the bottle and decant it thru a strainer. Not the devices fault. Works fine.

Have used an Ah-So type puller for many years. This one OK - but requires more attention to preclude either pushing cork into bottle, or chewing it up. YMMV tho!

Absolute garbage, there is no pin through the high pressure portion of the product. Poor engineering, and even worst costumer non-service. I reached out to them and still have not heard back. This product broke the first time I used it, on the day I received it. I ordered the two pack and the other one was scratched. Buy Monopole!

Handy dandy tool!
I ordered 3 - one for the camper, one for the boat, and one for home. I love that they're small and can also be used as a bottle opener. Does not work so well on synthetic corks but, not many cork screws do!
