More guitar books need to be created this way. No tabs in this book. Tabs are terrible in books. Tab guitar books should be sold separately… tabs take up way to much space. Those who like tabs o would not like this book. I love it.

Good collection of Bop and Swing Era duets. Can be used with any instrument. BTW, “Bugs” Bower was a very prolific song writer. He wrote for Big Bands, Bing Crosby and Perry Como; created pop hits like “Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yelllow Polkadot Bikini” and worked with Kool & The Gang.

Love this book. Solid duets, and really challenging. Really great to get a break from all the classical stuff and just swing every once in a while. Real fun, but not to be scoffed at. They offer a lot of challenges in accidentals and rhythms.

Great book for learning to play Be Bop with counterpoint. Lots of interesting lines to play. Some of the harmony is a little bit too gritty.
