This is a great pitch counter. It is made of metal which makes it very durable. I had had one in the past that was plastic but after a couple of seasons pushing the button to count the pitches was very temperamental. I decided to replace that one with this Franklin pitch counter and after two seasons I have not had any problems. Additionally, this counter has 4 dials so you can count things other than just pitches. My favorite feature about this pitch counter is that it has a ring that goes around your finger to prevent it from falling out of your hand. this allows me to still use my hands to coach while still being able to keep track of the pitches.This pitch counter fits perfectly in your hand and the button you push to count the pitches is easy to press but not too easy where you accidentally would hit it. There's a small wheel on the side of the pitch counter that you spin to reset the pitch counter to zero. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend this pitch counter to any baseball or softball coach or anyone for that matter look into account something.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. You get what you pay for, and this was a cheap piece of junk. I had to look at the register after each pitch to make sure the pitch registered and frequently had to jiggle the lever into different positions and push it repeatedly to get it to record the pitch. Ultimately, I gave up and got a pitch count app for my iphone.

I got this counter because of its price mostly. It was very cheap but not so much that it severely hindered the quality. It was a very good price for a sturdy counter. It's not some flimsy plastic counter and it's held up very well under the conditions I've used it for. I don't, however, use it as a baseball counter so I can't comment on its ability to withstand the elements.
