Installation Guide Kit for Cabinet Hardware 3/16"

Poorly Made
I bought this jig because it was inexpensive, but I really wish I would have spent a little more for a decent quality one. It was nice that this came with a drill bit for use with 8-32 mounting screws. However, after I had marked and drilled a few holes, I realized that the cabinet door guide is warped, which resulted in inconsistent hole location. The drawer jig wasn't warped as badly, but I found it a little difficult to use with my drawers with a decorative inset. Luckily, the plastic was flexible enough to bend into the location that I needed. One redeeming feature of these guides is that they are transparent, which is important for when you flip the guides for all the different orientations you need. If I were to do it again, I would definitely get a nicer jig.A few pointers for anyone doing this on their own. First, I would mark the holes that you decided to use either with a permanent marker or by taping over the unused holes. There are a lot of them, and you don't want to accidentally use the wrong one! Second, make sure you aren't going to drill into the face frames of the cabinets. If you will, you'll have to open the door before drilling, which makes it slightly more challenging, especially to get the holes straight. Third, don't underestimate the importance of drilling the holes perfectly perpendicular to the door. I have a few that are a little funny looking because they aren't quite straight.

Very very flimsy. I have been installing kitchens for several decades and I was in a bind since I loaned my expensive layout set to a friend. I had to buy a set to finish a kitchen and I ended up laying out the 28 cabinets by hand instead of trusting this tool. The plastic was very flexable and not at all rigid so may times the layout points we different depending on how much pressure you put on different parts of this tool. I ended up throwing in the trash because I was not about to screw up an expensive door or drawer front.

Not recommended
The corner template for door cabinets have almost imperceptibly misaligned holes, but still needed an slight correction(!), the drawer template was flimsy and warped to the extreme it was unusable and cracked when trying to hold in place. Overall a bad product.

Don't waste your time
I waited to get this to install my knobs/handles. ...what a waste of time and money. The depth is not substantial enough- the drill holes not large enough. I could go on.Point is, I purchased something that did not get used per its marketing.Just make your own grid out of cardboard-

Big time saver!
Like these templates. I had to make some custom holes on them for some cabinets but still found great utility out of them. Used them for an entire kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Big time saver!

DIDN'T HELP
I HAD TO MEASURE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T MATCH UP TO WHERE I WANTED THE PULLS TO BE . I DID USE THEM TO MARK THE HOLES (3" DIFFERENTIAL) AFTER I FOUND THE CENTER OF WHERE THE PULLS WOULD GO. I'D TRY SOMETHING ELSE IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN.
