#abrknpoet reviews Lying Next to Me
Lying Next to Me by Gregg Olsen is a gripping thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The story follows Adam and Sophie Warner, a married couple who witness a shocking crime while on a lakeside holiday. Their neighbour, Kristin, is abducted by a masked man right in front of them, and they are powerless to stop him. As the police investigate, they discover that Kristin had a dark past and a web of secrets that could have made her a target. But what if the Warners are not as innocent as they seem? What if they have something to hide too?Positives: The book is fast-paced and full of twists and turns. The author does a great job of creating suspense and tension throughout the story. The characters are well-developed and complex, each with their own motives and flaws. The plot is unpredictable and surprising, with a shocking ending that will leave you speechless.Negatives: The book is not for the faint-hearted. It contains graphic scenes of violence, abuse, and torture that some readers may find disturbing. The book also has some plot holes and inconsistencies that may annoy some readers. For example, how did the kidnapper know where Kristin was staying? How did he manage to escape without leaving any traces? How did the police miss some obvious clues?4.3 stars

This one is a page turner!
I found this author when I read “If you tell” and decided to give this one a shot. I don’t usually find myself staying up extremely late to finish books, but I did with this one. I couldn’t stop reading. I did see the twist coming, but still couldn’t piece together how. This author really surprised me with how seamlessly it all came together in the end and he left no stone unturned. Can’t wait to read his others.

So hard to put down!
By the middle of the read I didn't care if the husband did it or notas Mr. Olsen made me love his characters so much! Olsen is a plot master extraordinaire for anyone who enjoys a great mystery.

Not gonna lie I love this author. This is the second of his books I’ve read. This one is better than the last. I’m going to keep reading him til I run out of his stories to read. This is also an audio book so when I drove I listened. I love kindle!

Good Read
Good read but not one of my favorite Gregg Olsen books. Gregg has a great imagination for story telling. This was a fast read and listen on Audible.

Right until the end it has you guessing who really did it.
Did he or didn’t he, great right until the end. How you perceive people can be coloured by your shared history with them.

A very twisted tale
This was the kind of book difficult to put down. I spent a great deal with the “did he or didn’t he?” then thought of another prime suspect and still got it wrong. A story that will keep you guessing as no one is who you think they are. Brilliant!
