MusiclilyGold 42mm Metal Guitar Locking Nut for Floyd Rose Style Tremolo System

Does the job. Very good solution
So came across a product called a nut buster which is a floating lock with 6 micro tuning adjusters. Very highly rated but about £120!! Decided to try this as principal the same and it cost £6! Did not mount it or replace my existing nut but let it float behind the nut by locking it to the strings only. Its locked but can be removed anytime. Has definitely helped keep my strat with wilkinson floating bridge in tune. Very effective solution and very cheap. Well made for price point too. You dont have the micro adjusters that the nutbuster has but if you tune the guitar and then lock the floating nut the strings support each and keeps it in tune for longer...especially the dreaded G string.

All of the components of this feel solid and of reasonably good quality. One thing
Bought this to replace the locking nut on an old electric guitar I picked up from a charity shop around 13 or so years ago--old age, wear and tear--a Hohner Professional ST Savage. All of the components of this feel solid and of reasonably good quality. One thing, and I've seen this on other reviews, is that the notches for the strings are a little higher than the original--and so it's raised the action. I'm honestly not bothered, as I felt the action was a little low either way on the aforementioned guitar. It might be worth taking into consideration before purchasing this.Otherwise, a solid 5/5 for me.

Nice replacement
Replaced my locking nuts for Floyd rose nicely

Screw holes strip immediately.
I bought two of these. The first one, the screw popped out when clamping down the strings, after a string change maybe 3 weeks into owning it, completely pulling out the thread (as shown in pic).I then bought another in the hope that it was maybe just defective. It’s now happened twice. I spoke to Amazon, who said I had to speak to the seller, who said I had to speak to Amazon. So I’m now left without a locking nut until I can afford to buy another one. Do not buy. Will just happen to you.

Excellent for Jackson
Excellent direct replacement for Jackson Locking Nut. BC Rich uses 43mm (in case you're after one)

Never again
I've had two of these and both have had the exactly the same problem, the screw threads on the plate itself are so feeble and tacky that they wear within weeks until you can't clamp your strings down, and now it's cost me two sets and even more time spent on my guitar, not playing it, fixing it. I've had to upset the bridge and take all the strings off yet again to replace this shoddy workmanship. Very poor and I will not be buying anything by Musiclily again

Disappointing
Disappointed. The thread holding the grub screw for one of the three locking nuts stripped on the base plate less than a week after I fitted it, rendering it totally useless. 😣
