It works
I have a Dell Optiplex 7010 that is a great PC but rather dis-concertedly only has Displayport sockets if you want to use more than one monitor. Plugged this in and "bingo" my HDMI monitor works fine. Personally I don't think there is room in the world for both Displayport and HDMI but it is what it is and this adaptor works perfectly in an imperfect world.

We have used these to provide a link from laptop docking stations to duplicate monitors AND to large screen extra displays for classroom learning.It works.

occasionally one will cut out, give it a wiggle and works again, swapped ports over both ends, still the same, may be over heating issue

One of there adaptors has failed!
Initially it was great that you get two for the price of one effectively but as one has failed it's probably not that good!The other annoying thing is that I cannot now return it as the time to return has just expired (31st July) so no 12 month guarantee it would appear.

Not for long term use - both failed after a week
Both of them failed within a week or two of being continuously plugged in to a Dell desktop to drive a projector. The computer no longer recognises it has a second monitor attached.
