Nice Knife
Liking the knife quite a bit so far. The handle is comfortable and seems to be sturdy. There are some spots on the handle with porosity so they have absorbed blood. I can clean the knife so am not really considering that an issue, if it does end up damaging the handle then I will use the warranty at such time. The D2 steel blade holds its edge very well and had no issues staying sharp enough to butcher an adolescent ~700 pound moose and flesh the hide and skull after. It is still sharp enough to cut rags easily for cleaning my rifle and knife after the hunt. I also purchased this knife for $39.98 which is a great deal. The price as of writing the review is $59.79 so I am quite pleased with my savings. I would say though, even at the increased price I would be pleased with the purchase after seeing how well it is doing its' job.

Fine blade / Horrible fit & finish (i.e. uncomfortable in the hand) / Poor warranty
Uncle Henry 2202UH:I really want to love this knife but my only hesitation is that the stag horn scales are not fitted properly and do not sit flush with the edges of the tang. As a result the knife feels a bit uncomfortable... it feels like a glorified billet in your hand with not quite large enough scales to create a comfortable grip.I tried to contact customer service but now I realize that you MUST register with Battenfield within the first 30 days or you do NOT get to claim a warranty. This essentially makes Battenfield unaccountable, unless you read the fine print on the side of the box and visit the website listed before throwing the box away. Feels like a cheap trick to me bc most people wouldn't know better... For this reason, and the factory defect listed above, I am giving them 2 stars…Seems like contouring was done at one station on the factory floor and fitting at another. This unfortunate assembly line method results in product inconsistencies like this. Bc capitalism heralds efficiency as a sacred value… we ultimately lose careful quality control methods that occur with smaller batch production methods operating at a slower rate of production… Instead Uncle Henry speed ups the gears to spit out some junk… It's simply cheaper to pump out 10% of your products as defective than to retool your entire factory to fix your mistake... Ah capitalism...The handle is contoured just enough to properly index the knife and I really do like the fact that they used REAL stag horn for the handle. The cheaper Uncle Henry pieces that are not made from D2 lack such natural materials and instead opt for “staglon” (i.e. imitation stag that feels like plastic). However the length of the handle may be lacking for some at only 3.75" and simply would not suffice for anyone with larger hands. My average hands do just fine due to the curvature of the spine though. Bear in mind this is a small knife so perhaps this is meant for just a 3-finger grip anyway.I do appreciate the size of this piece, as the blade is less than 3” and more than accommodating for EDC tasks. It’s a thin slice of steel at 0.125” thick (about 3mm), at least compared to what I am used to, but that makes this a delicate slicer in addition to a formidable piercer (and for a drop point that is really all you need anyway).Sheath sits great on my belt: does not draw attention and no awkward adjustments when sitting down. The quality welted sheath has a deep cavity, easily swallowing the blade. The sheath was actually half the draw for me and I am not disappointed with what I received here. I only wish the knife itself FELT like a $60 knife. Not super happy with how this knife turned out and I am even less happy with the way Battenfield blankets themselves from warranty claims… Begrudgingly I will use this as my new beater knife to use, lose, and abuse.Be sure to register your blade to claim the warranty.Update:If you need a replacement sheath, you can use the sheath from the Uncle Henry PH2N Next Gen. Mini Pro Hunter (about $20). Make sure you get the “Next Gen.” version bc I am unsure about the sheath for the original PH2N… The only difference between the PH2N & the 2202 is that the welting is not as deep in the PH2N… but it hardly matters with a blade only 3mm thick. My D2 actually feels more secure I’m this PH2N sheath bc the welting is not as deep, and the leather has since contoured around the blade fitting it snugly.Uncle Henry PH2N Next Gen. Horrible craftsmanship
The scales are completely in even. Whoever put this knife together does not have pride in their craft
