Douglas F3D Skyknight (Yellow Series) Paperback – May 19, 2014

Although I didn't expect an indepth technical review of the Douglas F3D Skyknight, the book did meet my needs for a brief overview of the airplane, it's development, tenure in the Navy and Marines, and squadrons who flew them. I belong to a group of retired Navy veterans who are restoring an F3D at Edwards Air Force Base, CA., so the book is useful to identify certain aspects of the airplane.

Not a bad little book for the price. I love this airplane and try to collect anything I can about it. Not quite as good as the Ginter book but still quite good.

Great little book! I build plastic models and this will come in handy with the walk around pictures in the back of the book. If your into models and you plan on building the Skynight I highly recommend this book!

The Skyknight is an aircraft that is rarely seen in books. Finding this one with its greatly written history, superb photos and nicely done artwork was a thrill for me!

Short history of the type with many T.O. and Flight manual drawings and pictures. Full set of 1/72 scale plans and walk around photos.Recomend for modelers as there isn't much text on development and operational use.

I got a ride in one of these once and I found my plane in the photo coverage. Good photos and color profiles of the DRUT as it was called. As a modeler I loved it.
