Genuine Honda (25430-PLR-003) Transmission Filter

I was having hard shifting issues on our Honda Pilot 6-speed transmission. The fix is a drain and refill. There isn’t a pan and filter to easily replace. The filter is located above the transmission, but below the battery box. You have to dismantle a lot to get to it, which is probably why it’s not a normal replacement part. But, I felt like it needed to be replaced after a cross county trip with lots of gravel road driving. Changing the filter, as well as a 3x drain and fill has emptied most of the transmission of old fluid, and it drives great now. It truly is cheap insurance.

Fit great for 2010 Honda CRV. The hardest part was to remove to splash guard to access the filter. The replacement itself took no more than 10 minutes. Unintall 2 hose clamps and 1 10mm bolt, remove the old filter, put in new filter. Done.

Transmission hasn’t exploded yet. Put this on an 05 element with 264k miles and the automatic transmission and it fit the stock bracket put 12k miles on it so far.

This is a great product. I could instantly notice the difference in performance.
