I've almost completed reading this book and true to form, this author has given the world a front- line perspective of the chaos and turbulence that has mushroomed in the Middle-Eastern world. Clearly, the troubles in the Middle East are spilling over into other nations, and this book is showing us what is likely to visit us in the Western world if we don't wake up and properly discern the times and seasons in which we are presently living. Clearly this book is the sequel to Dateline Jerusalem - which I read prior to this document. Having read both books in the sequence in which I did, Destiny Jerusalem constitutes an indicator as to how rapidly the world has changed since the events described and documented in Dateline Jerusalem- which was published in 2013. So, people of God -both Jew and Gentile, let us wake up and get ready for the challenging days that are ahead of us. We will overcome if we follow the simple advise given by Chris Mitchell concerning how we should prepare for the prophetic days ahead of us that culminates with the majestic and awesome return of Yeshua Hamashiach to establish the Kingdom of God upon the earth.

Well investigated journey to trouble spots in Middle East. Takes you there. Brings understanding to the zealous religious mindset of those caught up in the situation. This is a radical Islamic War as Isis proclaims and is not portrayed as such in the West. Nor as thought in West is this to end onceiddle East is under the Califate. They openly state Eirope and the United States are also to be conquered. Very reminiscent of pre WWII attitudes. This is clearly written and easily read.

This book really educated me on ISIS and what they are doing and why. I also learned a great deal about Iran's nuclear program and how our own government is dealing with it. It is also full of stories about the people in Jerusalem and the many Christians who are being martyred for their faith. Well written and very interesting.

Destination Jerusalem is Chris Mitchell's update to his previous book, Dateline Jerusalem. Its essentially a news report from the frontlines of religious freedom in places like western Iraq, Israel and Egypt. As such, Mitchell, a news correspondent for CBN stationed in Jerusalem, gives us the current state of Islamic persecution directed at Christian and Jew and shows its relevance to the end times. So in addition to being a news update, Destination Jerusalem is a prophecy update. But Mitchell isn't expounding on prophecy or identifying the Anti-Christ here, he is simply giving us a "weather report" about the contemporary end times climate -- just as Jesus challenged the Jews to do in His day. So do you want to know what ISIS is doing to Christians in Iraq and Syria? Are you wondering what the Muslim Brotherhood did to Christians when they briefly seized power in Egypt? Do you want to know what Hamas missiles and tunnels are being used for in Gaza? Then please read this book. And for those with an interest in prophecy, consider this book for its insights into the final endgame of all Islam -- to conquer Jerusalem and make it the political capital of the future global Islamic Caliphate. Two minor criticisms: Some captions on each photo would have been helpful. And because this involves recent events and may be dated fairly quickly, this may eventually become a four star book value. But I recommend you read it NOW for a five star excursion into the mind of the global Islamic terror network. By all means, read this important book.

I regret that I can only give this book five stars. It deserves so much more. Chris Mitchell really understands the big picture in Israel and the rest of the Middle East and beautifully weaves currents events with prophecies from the Bible. This is a book worth reading!

Destination Jerusalem is a book which is very informative. It is very well written by someone who has been on the front lines in Iraq and Syria so much so that the fear he felt at times was tangible. For anyone who is interested or concerned about current events in the Middle East this is a must read. Recommended.

A very clear picture of some of the horrific happenings in the Middle East, from the point of view of a reporter for a television company, and a helpful Biblical understanding of some of the events on the ground.
