Alpine iLX-W650 Compatible with CarPlay & Android Auto - Includes KTA-450 Power Pack, SXV300V1 SiriusXM Tuner

Installed this package in my 2012 F-150 XLT Crew Cab. Initially priced out an install with Best Buy but they wanted more money than I paid for this package...so I installed it myself. Instructions and wiring diagrams were super helpful, and in a little over a day I had absolutely everything ran, wired, connected, and installed without any issues! Sound quality is amazing paired with Alpine S-S57 speakers, aftermarket backup camera was extremely easy to install with it as well...my only issue with it is that you can't just stream video to it via Apple CarPlay or sharing video from your smartphone. You have to actually connect an external hard drive with .mov files on it in order to watch them...which I haven't done yet because honestly who does that these days?! My next project is connecting it to 2 subwoofer amps, so we'll see how that goes!

I went with the package that had the kta-450 amp and the Sirius receiver. Definitely worth the money. The head unit is super simple to navigate and figure out. Apple CarPlay is great! So awesome to easily be able to navigate the phone and listen to my podcast app. The kta-450 puts out great sound quality and plenty of volume. Again it’s nice to have the SiriusXM built right in and don’t need a unit on a mount by the vents or suction cup. I do recommend this unit and I may very well buy another one for the wife’s car.

Used in a 2003 F250, install is pretty straight forward. And the mini amp is outstanding! The screen can’t change the splash screen and takes about 10 seconds to boot up, but this isn’t an issue for me. Response if super fast and you can make tuning as easy or as difficult as you like. For the price point I haven’t seen a better unit.

This head unit has a lot more power than my Jeep’s old factory unit. If you are mechanically inclined it can be easily installed yourself. Fit perfectly in my 2017 Jeep JKU.

Fit-shallow depth works perfectly with my 04 DodgeForm-looks awesome in the dashFunction-Awesome sound! Paired it with a backup cam to fully upgrade my cartechFairprice-the package deal with amp and Sirius XM was phenomenally priced

I had the stereo professionally installed because the way they had it layed out in the instructions ruined the interface and I had to buy another one. The stereo clips at only half volume. I only wish I knew about all of this before my 30 days was up to return it.

This review is STRICTLY for the stereo, not the amplifier or the xm adapter. I'm rating it low based on the lack of transparency from even the manufacturer website for the description. This stereo DOES NOT work with all steering wheel control adapters. Alpines website states simply "adapter required" but does not state that it is not maestro idata link compatible. They also fail to provide ANY pictures of the back of the unit which would if they had pictures, show that it does not have a data port for certain steering wheel control modules. I'm sure the stereo functions well, but the stereo is NOT what it is described to be. Now I have $500 tied up for God knows how long waiting for a return so I can't even purchase another stereo that will work until I receive my refund. The seller also auto generates shipping return tags automatically THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR even if it is not your mistake that makes you have to return, overall one star rating because alpine did some shady stuff with this stereo and description.
