Works great and helps speed up reloading
I ordered the Auto Primer unit after bending into oblivion the cheesy primer bar that came with my Rockchucker kit. Read the reviews here about fiddling and shaking the feed tube and decided to objectively rate the unit. The instructions were a little confusing but got through assembly fine.Looked down the feed tubes and loading tubes and saw a whole lotta dirt and debris from manufacturing. Use some Alcohol and a large pipe cleaner to clean all the OIL from the tubes. Or some Q tips saturated in Alcohol and blow them through. Works fine as a cleaner. Dirt stuck in oil will jam up the feed pipes and the primers will hang.So cleaned everything and bolted unit to the Rockchucker. With no other adjustments or fiddling I just finished priming 240 .308 Win cartridges with only 6 jams. Thats a whole lot better than I did with the hand primer that came in the kit. Once I got the hang of flipping the primers so the pickup tube could load them I got faster and faster with the setup. If you are having problems its you doing something wrong or your adjustments are not right. Not once did I have to jiggle the feed tube to get a primer in the cup. I will admit though that you have to position the cup just right before pushing on the loading handle. Its a feel thing but once you find it you can start loading up very fast with no problems.Recommend unit highly and am very happy with it.

Item becoming Difficult to Find
Due to having multiple issues with primer seating I figured I would try this primer seater. I have one on my RCBS Jr press that served me well. But I up graded to the Rock Chucker, I realize that press mounted seaters aren't as sensitive as other units, but I have yet to find a good reliable seater. The Forster seems to do a good job of a fair amount of time is invested when setting up the holders. When I started to search for the primer accessory I found that most places were out of stock. Which leads me to think that either the sale of press mounted units are poor, or there are problems with this particular design. At any rate I found it on Amazon but it had a highly inflated price. Time will tell, I hope to install it today. 2/13/2020..After installing the accessory I found out why few vendors have them in stock, to include the manufacturer. Instructions are vague, and the space in the loading ram "Just about allows the priming arm in.) space is close both vertically as well as horizontally. " So my search continues for a "Quality" primer seater which actually speeds up the process.

DON’T Disregard the majority of negative reviews!
First of all, I’m new to reloading, but would consider my mechanical aptitude above average. My opinion is totally unbiased and I’ll give anything a chance, ONCE.Using this auto primer system doesn’t look promising, but I’ll update if things work out. Despite the negative reviews I went ahead and purchased anyway, knowing full well I don’t mind adjusting things to get them working properly. With that said, this gadget isn’t looking good. I’m using the following equipment:RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Part#9356RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Auto Prime Part#9358(which this is a review of. Directions for Rock Chucker Supreme specifically state RC Supreme will not work with Auto Prime Part #’s 9550/9580) So make sure you have the right part number for the Auto Prime to match your RC model.Lee .223 dies with shell holder supplied in kitProcessed and shipped quickly. No complaints with Amazon or supplier. Arrived in nice box. Parts seem to be decent quality, but that’s it.Directions are horrible. They’re either outdated or the parts have changed. The bag of parts and the description for each of the 3, don’t match what’s in the actual bags. They tell you to load a spring and taper pin for the upper housing when it’s already installed for you. They used abbreviations like SHCC and SHCS and don’t tell you what that means or stands for. Or I’m a complete idiot. Eventually, after reading it 3-4 times, you figure out those are the machine screws. So here’s the issue so far. After following the directions to a T and re-reading the directions 3-4 times, the primer cup (small cup installed for .223, as it comes set up with the large) catches on the shell holder. It’s spring loaded. So after agitating the primer slide bar, the cup pops through the opening in the shell holder. Tried operating it at the angle it doesn’t catch, but it’s not repeatable with any sort of consistency. Also, if you release the primer slide bar and lift the ram, it pulls the shell holder out of its seat. I can already see this is gonna be more trouble than it’s worth. It was mentioned in other reviews to use RCBS #16 shell holder. Maybe that will work???? Also, someone said they polished the shell holder? Guess I’ll try those suggestions. I haven’t actually used this system yet to actually seat a primer, but I’ll give it a shot and provide an updated review if it works. And this is without even testing the priming tubes. Sure there will be a feed issue as well, if I’m already having issues with cup alignment. For $70 you shouldn’t have to modify your press or other tooling to make it work. You just shouldn’t have to. This the reason for the poor review. If I were to do it again, I’d save my 70 something bucks after taxes and shipping and put it toward the RCBS Auto Priming tool, Part# 9460. Much higher reviews and satisfied users. As a matter of fact, I’ll probably be returning this and go that route.DON’T disregard the negative reviews...I did and I’m finding out the hard way. Save yourself the trouble of returning the product or having to modify stuff you just purchased. RCBS needs to pay attention to their customer base and redesign it so it works.Good luck with your choice and happy reloading.

Great Customer Service and Reliable Product
First off, I tripped and accidentally broke the threaded part of the housing. I called RCBS to see if I could buy a new upper part of the housing. They gave me one and had to my house within a week. Great Service. Now with the primer unit: after reading and following the instructions I tested the primer unit to see how well it would work and if it was reliable. The test was a perfect sucess. So, from there it went about priming 120 rifle cases. I had zero problems, and all came out correctly. I would rather use this unit instead of a handheld primer one. I prime the cases separate from other processes. Works reliably and has good feel. Again, follow the instructions and make sure that the correct primer "punch" is screwed in all the way. When threading in the punch there is a small hole visible when the ring is pushed down. Put an allen wrench or something like that so as to be able to tighten.
