New Magnetic Motor Starter Control for electric motor compressor 5hp 1ph 230V 34 amp

You get what you pay for. This starter is a fraction of the price of the better known name brands (Square D, etc) and it is of course foreign made. BUT, it WORKS. The first one I received had a cracked mounting boss on the plastic contactor mounting pad, I glued it, but they still willingly sent me a new one. The box is pretty thin gauge metal and you should use real conduit clamps instead of the rubber bushing deals. But again, for $60, it starts/stops my 5hp Baldor perfectly and takes the load off the pressure switch. They'd also do well to include better instructions/wiring schematic, but it's pretty straight forward. Hopefully it lasts a long long time.

Needed to replace the starter on 5hp air compressor. This was the best price I could find and it works fine. One star off because the only wiring diagram it came with was for 3 phase power - this unit only works with single phase. That meant I had to puzzle through the set up and do a test hook up before installing, so it took longer than it should of.

Worked like a charm! Installation was a snap and it protects the cutout switch contacts from frying. Recommended.

Seems a little cheap compared to what I am used too, but I workin heavy industry and use water tight / explosion proof boxes. For household and garage use this product will work fine.

Easy installation and flawless performance at a fraction of the price of some other units.

The inside was broken and look like it was used. Really disappointed. More inspections in the items that are sold and also care with the people who delivery this items
