SP-IM942 Headset with Microphone

I use this product for telephone prospecting and business calls via Skype installed on my notebook computer.The sound quality is superb. I can hear the other party clearly and they sound completely natural, not tinny or bassy. People on the other end of the call have told me that it seems like I am in the room with them and I sound just like I do in person.The headset is also quite comfortable to wear. It is adjustable in size. The earpad pressure is light and gentle, but just firm enough so the headset does not slide around even as I move my head up and down or side to side to read. I typically talk on the phone for 2 to 3 hours at a time and I never have experienced any discomfort at all during my calling sessions.This is an inexpensive headset. As a result, it is not built like a tank. While I would not characterize the headset as fragile, it nevertheless will break or develop a lot of "static on the line" if you handle it inappropriately or subject it to insults by throwing it in your computer case where it is likely to get banged around, for example. But if you handle the headset with a modicum of care, it will last years. Also, the foam cover on the microphone tends loosen and fall off over time, but it slides back on easily and does not fall off when in use, so I don't see that as a problem.All things considered, this headset is a tremendous value. For sound quality and comfort, this headset is hard to beat and, at a price of less than $5, its value simply can't be beat.

I had my doubts about ordering this product after reading some of the reviews and seeing the very low price, but went ahead and ordered it anyhow since it was so inexpensive. I do not regret the decision. The Headset and Microphone are not of the highest quality, but came in a brand new sealed retail package and worked well with no configuration what so ever with all of the PC applications I used them on my Windows 7 System, including Skype. The quality is as good as one could hope for with a product in this price range and good enough for Voice over IP, Sound Recording, and Voice Recognition Applications. Better than not using a Headset type Microphone of Similar Quaility. As for the fit, I found it to be comfortable and the set adjusts well. The only caveat is that the set does feel a little flimsy so I handle them carefully when adjusting. Overall it is an excellent generic headset and microphone that comes in a retail package and offers adequate functionality without configuration issues on at least all of the major Windows 7 Applications that one uses regularly like Skype, Sound Recording, and Voice Recognition. I highly recomend this product.

I use these for online gaming, speech recognition program, and skype. These work great for all three. The speech comes through very clearly, much better than my Dell Inspiron's built in mic. For $5 this is an absolute steal. I don't see any reason to buy a more expensive pair.Yes these aren't the most durable and are made out of cheap plastic. But their lightness also makes them very comfortable. They set onto your ear, not into your ears. This makes them much more comfortable than those padded mics that press down but don't fit around your whole ear.Don't listen to the negative reviews, my guess is that over half of them are from people who think the mic isn't working but probably just don't have their options configured correctly.If you want a starter mic, this is the perfect choice.

When i was browsing amazon for a cheap set of headphones and i came across these, i got interested.I mean, they looked pretty good and some of the reviews said they were great. So i bought them.It did not take too long for them to come in the mail. When i received them, i right away opened up the boxand inspected them. They looked nice and all but they were kinda fragile. Also the ear pads were popped outso i had to pop them back in. The other reviews said that they were very very fragile and were about to break.I denied it, thinking, they were over reacting or just once in a while the headphones accidentally damaged.So after that i plugged them into the Computer and tested them. The sound was great and the mic worked nicely.The next day i used them again. The ear pads again popped out and this time the wires came out too. So i quicklycaught them and taped them to the frame. I thought that it was fine and it was only a minor setback. In 3 monthsone of my siblings was using them and they accidentally pulled the wires just a little and they separated and broke.They are ok, but they are fragile. Remember the old saying, "You get what you pay for."

This headset does everything well.. but does nothing spectacular. For the past few years I've been using an Altec Lansing headset that I've had to replace once, which retails for $20. It was a good headset but they don't make them anymore :( So I picked up this one on Amazon for a back-up for when my current Altec Lansing dies for a little over $6. It is very similar but is a little flimsy and the audio doesn't get quite as loud. Also, there is no mute on the headset itself, just a volume control (for the Headphones, not the mic). I do like the mic and it seems pretty solid. I also like that the headset is NOT USB. All in all it is a good headset.. works well with Skype and as just regular headphones. They are a little cheapy, but hey, for $6 they aren't bad at all.

This headset may be cheap but I love it still. The quality is excellent and I even now use it for just about anything i need a microphone for. I would highly recommend it to someone who needs a good headset but doesn't want to shelve out tons of money.

So, I got this headset because I needed one quick and this was being offered on a quick delivery, it worked pretty well and the microphone was pretty good, but it felt so light and fragile.. and, well it was. About a month after usage one of the earcovers were snapped off the main thing, I'm not sure how that happened and I'm pretty sure it was a fault of someone in the household, but it would have been nice if it was more rigid.
