Good remote, but programming it is a bit painful and not all keys can be used with IR
Overall, this device performs well -- once it's programmed (see below). Our TV is located about 15 feet from the couch and the USB receiver that connects to our HTPC is actually located right underneath the couch (via a USB extender). With this setup I have not noticed any reliability or range issues when using the remote. The size and weight of the remote feel just right, and even with my relatively big fingers, I can easily type on the buttons of the keyboard without using my nails. The buttons have a nice "click" to them and, for my taste, the rubber provides just the right amount of friction. Well done.It has been a little bit difficult to program the remote, though. The steps are easy: Press and hold "learn", point other remote at this one, press button on other remote, LED on this remote blinks indicating "got it", press button on this remote to assign sequence to, press "learn" again to exit programming mode. Done. Except that it took me up to 6 and an average of 2 tries to program each button. Program, test, no luck, program again, test again, still no luck, program again, test again, now it works, next. Once the buttons are programmed, though, they just work. But getting them there in the first place was a bit of a pain. Half a star off for this. The other thing I find unfortunate about this remote is that not all buttons can be programmed for IR (TV) use. The following buttons can NOT be programmed: Learn (of course), CAP, TAB, PC/TV (of course), any of the keyboard buttons (QWERTY... Shift, Enter), left/right-click (the buttons with the picture of the computer mouse), and (for some reason) Enter and Delete (the ones on the very bottom). All others can be used, including the menu-/exit-buttons, the zoom-in/out-buttons, and the scroll-button. Another half-star off for the missed opportunity and the lack of available information about this. Also, the remote is missing some (for us) crucial buttons: Guide, Info, Stop, and a separate Play and Pause button (both are combined into one and therefore can't be used with our cable box). No star off here, though, because this is clear from looking at the product pictures. Make sure you verify that it has the buttons you need before you buy it. Especially since this remote does not offer multiple modes for different IR devices (not counting PC-mode). So, while it is perfectly possible to program the volume buttons to control your receiver, the input-button to control your TV, the arrow and number buttons to control your cable box, etc, each button can only be assigned to one function on one of your devices. There is one other strange quirk with the way this remote interfaces to our Windows 8 HTPC: Every time I switch it to PC mode, Windows pops up a bar on the right asking me what to do about the second "display" I just connected!?! So, I always need to click into the program that I actually want to control... Not sure where this is coming from, but it must be related to the way the USB dongle is recognized. One more thing: The Menu and Exit button become the Windows-key and Esc in PC-mode. Would be nice if this was labelled on the remote itself somehow...

Great potential; poor execution
I'm so disappointed that this remote did not work well. The remote has a perfect design, and the simple learning mechanism makes it so that it could theoretically control almost anything exactly the way that you want it to. Theoretically, that is.I bought this remote to use with my Home Theater PC and to replace my standard Windows Media Center (ehome) remote. I used my Microsoft remote to teach the Feilan remote its commands (such as direction arrows, etc.), and it seemed to receive them properly. However, when I attempted to use the direction buttons (on XMBC and Windows Media Center) one direction button would on work only once, that is unless you pressed a different direction button. For example, I would press the down button to attempt to go through a list of TV Programs, and it would only go down once, no matter how many times I pressed the down button. If I pressed the up button it would go up once, but, as you could probably ascertain, that only got me back to where I began.I thought that it might be an issue with the IR receiver connected to my PC (since the remote had no problem blasting commands to the TV itself), so I dug up my old Logitech Harmony remote to test the receiver. The Harmony remote had no problem navigating through the menus using its direction buttons, so I was left to conclude that it was an issue with the Feilan remote itself.I'm giving this remote 2 stars, because it seems (to me at least) that the primary person who would want this remote is someone who uses an HTPC. Why else would you want a remote with a keyboard and mouse on it? The fact that it cannot effectively mimic a WMC / ehome remote is a fundamental flaw that makes it useless. If it did this well, it would easily get 5 stars, even with the not-so-perfect mouse trackball.Bottom Line: Like the 2012 NC State men's basketball team: this remote has the potential for greatness but is poorly executed. What a shame.

Good remote for HTPC
This is a good remote for the price. It has good IR range but not as good range for the 2.4G Mouse/Keyboard. I need to move a little closer to my system to use the mouse and keyboard so if you need more than about ten feet you may want to look at a diferent remote. Some people complained about the keyboard, and the keys are a bit small but they are usable. I wouldnt want to type more than a few words on it. The mouse works well. I read another complaint that said that the volume button didnt reapete so you had to press it multiple times to adjust the volume every time. I did not find that to be true, mine works fine, just push the volume button, hold it down and it keeps adjusting the volume. The remote seams to be built well and it fits the hand quite well. I will be using theis as my primary remote.

Good product but seller just so so.
Pros:This is is a true all in one remote an is the only one i can found, design and made in China, Does resolved my problem. It does it job as described.Cons:1.Product doesn't look like new. 90% new at large. Super simple package, no box, packaged in plastic bag sealed with retail tape.2.Came with a mini reciever , not as what you see in the photo. some time losts signal whe distance > 5 feet.3.High profile black part of surface but low profie silver parts. overally looks low profile.4.No helper software. Use straight forward as regular K/M.5.Come with a letter promises a HDMI cable gift if made a 5 start rating.-- But how can the seller expect a 5 seding an used one?If well packaged decent and polish it untile looks brand new, then rate 5 with no question asked. Is that be more expensive than HDMI cable plus H/S fee?
