This was an instantaneously better, faster and more stable connection than the usb dongle I was using before. It's also reasonably sturdy and had a solid fit.I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Works perfect! Plug-and-play Ethernet to USB Type-C and ready to go out of the package! Startech makes the very best quality electronics and adapter devices and by far and it's worth a couple extra bucks for reliability. Everything I've ever bought from this company has worked flawlessly. Don't waste your time trying to save a few dollars and getting off brands which either don't work right, or eventually will fail. It powers itself right off the USB Type-C Jack, so no need for auxiliary power either. You can count on StarTech being the best choice everytime!!

A bit bulky. It works well but it lifts up the laptop slightly because it is bigger then the slim laptop (Dell Inspiron) that it is used for. Would fit nicer on a thicker laptop. Next time I will buy one that is attached by a short cable that connects with a small USB.

I've tried this on 4 Macs (various OS versions) and it hasn't worked for a single one. Works great on the Windows machines I tested it on, but that's not what it was purchased for. It also did not work on any iPads (going through the USB camera adapter, which every other USB network adapter I've tried works with).

I used this USB Gigabit Ethernet adapter (with an OTG adapter) to replace the out of box Ethernet adapter that comes with the Amazon Fire TV Cube. Although its speed is limited by the USB 2 interface, it is still three times faster than the Amazon branded Ethernet adapter that comes with the Amazon Fire TV Cube.

This is an awesome device. I purchased it because my laptop doesn't have an Ethernet port. Plugged into a 3.0 USB port on my laptop, I get a gigabit transfer rate. This allows me to backup my files to my NAS in a third of the time it takes with 5G wifi. It is recognized instantly, my laptop automatically takes advantage of the faster Ethernet, and I would note that it does not heat up like some adapters do after being powered up a while. Maybe it goes to sleep, but the WiFi doesn't reconnect until I unplug the adapter. I didn't give a tech support rating since I haven't need to use it.

This device only lasted about 4 months and it stopped functioning. The StarTech brand suppose to be above average in quality. I am not satisfied.

Part of my job requires testing very high-speed ethernet. For convenience, I've grown accustomed to using my phone for these tests.I've used a number of different USB-C to Ethernet adapters and never been fully satisfied with them.This StarTech fits the bill perfectly. It is both compact (doesn't have a silly little extra cable on it) and extremely quick (I'm able to test right up to 950mbps).Great job on a great little adapter, StarTech.

Connected this adapter to my laptop over my gigabit lan and I get speeds of 120MB/s when transferring files between my Nas.

Laufen Problem auf esxi6 im lab und auch unter diversen Linux und Windows Versionen. Daten Durchsatz ist auch auf Niveau einer 1g Karte
