Great product, great price.
Easy to install except for exhaust pipe.Double wall 3" exhaust pipe is just hard to work with and expensive. Of course this would be the same for any water heater.Be careful connecting the gas. I overtightened it and broke off the nipple. Marey sent me a replacement wich took removing a couple of screws to replace. The unit works well for my small cabin with 1 sink and 1 shower.I had to set the season for winter and the flow rate to minimum to get it to work. The LED display is nice and shows the temperature. It will get very hot, I stopped at 145 F and then backed it down (reducing the flame) to keep the children from burning themselves by accident. You must be careful to drain the unit, there is a drain valve, if leaving it over the winter in a location with freezing temperature. The last unit I had froze and the water intake and some of the boiler tubing split. My fault but be aware.Marey was very responsive in sending me replacement part for the broken gas intake.

The unit works well, now have hot water in bathroom especially for showers....
Not being a plumber made the installation more difficult than it should have been, however, the instruction manual was a real +++++, the exhaust system was difficult and took special tools, the z-exhaust system of stainless steel was a real plus, used flex tubing for the input and output, however that said, the most difficult was the propane hose lines, these lines were custom made....this took 2 30 mile trips to town to resolve the issues, the main point here, if you are off grid this is the way to go, 2-D cell power the system, I used the plastic line with glue that was rated for hot water, none of the glued joints leaked.........3 week of work and the system is a BIG improvement to someone living off grid......

Junk - Find Something Else
This is by far the worst product I have ever purchased on Amazon bar none. Let’s start with the battery box. Cheap flimsy plastic so brittle it shattered when bumped. The cover broke into three pieces. The battery box is placed right in the way so you can’t easily tighten the cold water line. The batteries are held in place with little plastic tabs that make it a complete pain in the ass to take in and out. Next, the hot water outlet cannot be tightened down tight because there is no nut on the outlet to hold it in place with a wrench while you screw the fitting on (but there is a nut on the cold water line so figure that one out). Instead they cheaply screwed a retainer into the thin sheet metal to hold the outlet in place. So this gives you two choices, one tighten it down until you bend or break this pipe completely or two tighten it close enough and let it leak. There is no in between. Next, there is no true temperature adjustment. You have a dial for two options - blazing hot or barely warm (when running only hot water at the point of use). When on blazing hot (winter setting, which is confusing as hell) the water comes out hot for a while and then just quits. The water flow adjustment knob does not work. It only runs on the lowest flow setting. The gas adjustment knob also does nothing. The flame never gets bigger or smaller as you can look through the window while turning it and nothing happens. I am returning mine. After you read this please find another product because this one is junk, a true disappointment in every way.

It's ok , it worked with some extra parts
We bought it for a house we own in Mexico , whixh water is stored in a tank up in the house , we had a plumber installed it properly and the unit never turned on , little did we knew that the water pressure wasnt enough to heat the water or even make the click click to turn on , we where force to buy a transfer pump a hose and some more parts , pay the guy again to come and reconnect everything again !!Once the pump was installed the tank and mounted it worked great in the shower , the kitchen water was luke and the bathroom sink didn't get no hot water since the pump wasn't turning on to heat water (not sure why or how since all plumbing is new and new faucet /sink) but it never triggered the pump to work.At the end it worked and we showered.Make sure you have the pressure it needs to work or just be ready ($$) to buy a pump or a pressurized tank to make the unit work.I set it to summer since in winter it would heat up too much and we couldn't mix enough cold water to make it a agradable temperature , after all the summer mode was good we didn't need to open the cold water since the water was in a good temperatureThe water flow had to be in the lowest setting if I tried to increase it the unit would turn off immediately. So it was set at summer , mid gas level, and lowest water flow to work.

Works Great!
When my older propane water heater in my weekend cabin gave out I looked at replacement options. A standard water heater was around $800.I came across this at under $200 and decided to give it a try. It arrived well package and on time. Installation was simple and only required a couple of adapters that I picked up at Home Depot. It does take a little adjusting to get it to fire up but not get the water too hot. Mine works best when set to a low flow, summer season and medium heat. Now that it is colder, I'll probably have to turn the heat up a little. I've had it running for about 3 months with no problems but my use is very minimal since we only go to our cabin on weekends.
