3 Digit Solar LED House Number

I like this little gadget and worth the price as long as it continues to work... I got this because UPS was delivering a package and couldn't find the right house... It could be a little brighter but it can be seen easily from our street..UPDATE .... I have this item maybe 3 month's and it still works great and it only get's the morning sun.

l like this product. The numbers stand out very clearly.The directions for installing it were clear and concise. The only trouble I had was that the screws were too short to reach through the vinyl siding,so I used the adhesive to mount it. One hot day I observed that the unit was not in its place ,but on the ground. I got some longer screws and refastened it to the sidewall.This three digit lighted ,solar powered,number set works very well.Thank you: Wilbur Knowles

Nice concept but no quality control. Easy to install, but lighting never worked. Plenty of sunshine to charge it. Just didn't work. They obviously went for low cost/price vs. checking that these things work as they come off the assembly line.

In the summer AZ sun, it works fine.....not sure it will light up well when the sun goes south, and I won't have the direct sunlight on the solar panel (even with the 6 foot cord, I will struggle to get sun on that side of the roof angle). But now, new, and in the blazzing sun, the numbers light up well, and are very noticeable from even across the street about 40 feet away.I will try to update this in the late fall, as that will be the true test.UPDATE - had to return....not sure what happened, but stopped working just before the one month date. The light thingy did fall off roof in a wind storm, before I had a change to secure it....and when I noticed a week or so later, it wasn't working. Not sure if that did it or not...but had to return, because my time was up. So can't be sure if it was the fall,or it just failed in less than 30 days.

Easy to assemble and looks good, especially at night, when it works. There is a basic flaw in the direct connection between the solar/battery module and the lights that means a windy day or a bump makes them disconnect and your fancy and expensive solar address system goes dark and you don't even know unless you go check. You would think a direct connection from power to lamp would be rock solid, but this one is not. Poor execution of a good idea equals failure.

We live in a townhouse and we always get our mail because the house number is on the mailbox but the packages sometimes go to the house to the left or the house to right because when the regular mail carrier is off, the subs have a problem telling which house is which. The same for UPS and FEDEX. So I decided to put a number on the house somewhere. Once I found a good location, I set out to find a good house number plaque and I was surprised to find they can run into the hundreds of dollars. I decided to give this little item a shot and I was happy with the results. The instructions state to let the solar panel lay out in the direct sun for a couple of days to charge before attaching it to the sign. So, I attached the sign and charged the solar panel as directed. Even though we don't get direct sun in the sign's location, it still lights at night and the three inch numbers are large enough and well lit enough to be visible from the street approximately 20 feet away. We are well pleased with the price and function of this house number sign.

The product works great and comes with enough numbers to meet almost any number combination. It even has a couple of letters with it too.I modified it with a few well placed small screws so someone could not remove the top solar cells and then screwed the unit to the wall. I would have rated it higher if:1. It was able to be mounted more securely2. The lights were brighter at night. You need to be within 20 feet to see them

I installed this product next to my mailbox in August 2014, it worked as advertised until January 2015, then it no longer glows.I have tried to check for corrosion between the battery/solar cells and the house numbers, that is not the issue.Essentially it's a dead piece of plastic at this point. For something to last less than one year I must unfortunately give it only 1 star and suggest that other potential buyers stay away - unless you are ok with a house number sign that you have to throw away every six months.
