Pure Silica Sand, Medium (70 mesh) for Foundry and Other, kiln-Dried (10LB)

This is a very fine sand, so if you need some grit, a less fine sand is recommended. This sand is clean, white and as pure as can be. Bag leaked a little, but otherwise, no issues.

I actually bought this so I could use it as heatable sand for a small Turkish coffee sand pit for the stove that I was making it home. They're fine enough grains that it works wonderfully, with even heat distribution. Definitely recommended if you're trying to create a similar setup!

Followed all instructions however my flowers molded so I’m lead to believe that the product did not work as promised

This worked well for an outdoor caulking job. I thought it was a good value for fine grain sand.

Bought this sand for an ant farm. Very nice and white, maybe it is too fine because it doesn’t hold moisture very well. I’m having to put much more water daily than recommended to be able to maintain a level of moisture in the ant farm.

Good packaging

The sand is very fine and nice. Unfortunately the plastic bag is inadequate and prone to leaking. The first shipment was canceled and I suspect it was because the bag leaked over everything in the box. The bag also leaked in the second shipment but I was fortunately able to recover most of the sand. it would be best shipped in a more sturdy plastic container, but of course this would drive up the price.

Great for our fireplace!
