Did the timing on my 2007 mazda cx7 2.3. Do not tighten your cam bolts with the alignment plate tool on the cams it will brake the tip of the camshaft where the tool slides into the slot. Hold the camshaft with a wrench

Solid set with pretty much everything you'll need. I'm an ex mazda tech and have used the OEM shop tools on timing chain jobs. I used this kit to replace the chain on a mazdaspeed 6 and was impressed at how identical this is to the dealership tools. A must have if you're going to pull the chains off of a ford based 2.0 or 2.3 motor.

Changed my mazdaspeed’s timing chain and some other related parts. Worked perfectly for holding the crank and cams at top dead center.

I had never done a timing chain on this kind of engine and saw it was a must have for the job. It worked fine for the most part but the pin to stop the crankshaft from turning wouldn’t work , it was too long. Also would be nice to have instructions with it
