I bought these for my old house that has two overhead sockets on the same switch. We wanted to put one of those socket fans in the other. We don't use that socket for light so we don't really use the light on the fan and the switch has to be on for the fan to work while we are sleeping so we needed a way to be able to shut both overhead lights off independently. I bought these to solve that problem. They work like a charm. Easy to install, just like any other bulb. There are lots of color options & I've actually been trying to use these for some "green light therapy". The remote is small & light. Ironically this remote & the socket fan remote must be on the save frequency or something cause they do cross signals but as long as I point it directly at the right fixture it works. I wish I'd noticed the wattage but that's really on me. They aren't quite as bright as I'd like.

Installation is a no-brainer, since it screws into a standard lamp socket like any other light bulb. So screw it in, provide power to the lamp, pull the battery-saver tab off the remote, and go! And that's when the fun merely begins. This is not one of those devices & remotes chock full of extraneous gizmo functions just because it can. The remote is to the point, but still highly featured. And the lamp follows remote commands quickly and every time, even from a decent distance. Hit a color button and it changes instantly. Dim or brighten any color. And it adds to different fade options for rolling through colors. Finally, of course, simple on/off. I couldn't have asked for anything more, honestly, and building micro-controller based (Arduino) special effects is my main hobby, so I can be discerning.I was impressed to the point that I went back and checked how much I paid. Roughly $4.25 per bulb? Really? My local specialty light bulb store would charge 4 times that much.I could easily see using these as my standard house bulb in nearly every fixture where it would fit, and just keeping it on the soft white (which is a pretty natural white, easy on the eyes). Then I could just dim or brighten to mimic varying standard bulb wattages depending on the room. As an LED it is an energy saver that will pay for itself. And if I ever had some special function, such as a party, I could just whip out the remote and set the mood in a second without running around and changing out all my normal lighting. When done, just set them all back. Seriously, it's that versatile and affordable that I am considering doing just that.So, yeah, I might be buying more soon. A LOT MORE!

I put these bulbs in my lanterns on both sides of my garage and I'm using the changing colors. Have them on dusk to dawn. It is so pretty and pleasant for the Christmas holidays. So far, they work as expected. I'm planning to using one color for other holidays, green for St Patricks, orange for Halloween, etc. Will update if anything changes, but so far very pleased.Update 10/8/23 OMG! I forgot how to set the timer to go on at dusk and off at dawn!! figured it out. Turn the lights on. Select the color and mode first. Determine the time you want the lights to go on. So if dusk is at 5 PM, turn it on at 5 PM, then the press 24 hour timer for the number of hours you want the lights to stay on. Do it slowly because the bulb will flash the number of times you press the timer. It threw me off. For example, when you press the 24hr timer the first time, the bulb flashes once. Press it again and it flashes twice, again and it flashes 3 times and so on. A bit of a pain for setting them for dusk to dawn which is about 12 hours. That last press flashes 12 times LOL! This cycle will repeat daily automatically on and off. Use the hr timer for just a specific amount of time, which has to be manually turned on each time, but will remember the number of hours you selected to remain on. *****Key point to remember- do not touch any other key on the pad once the time is set, like changing the color. It will cancel the timer setting. Still love these lights - so pretty!

These are cool lights. The standard tone is not too white or too yellow. A bit whiter than soft white maybe. The colors are great & it’s nice that you can dim the light via the remote on any solid color. The Remote is nice too & has good features. I wish they were a bit brighter though. I had an issue with one of the remotes/bulbs & the seller was quick to fix my issue, they were nice & easy to work with. If the longevity of the bulbs fail I’ll update but they are working great so far.

I searched around and finally settled on these. I was skeptical because the bulbs were only 40 watts and they are small. But these are amazing. They get daylight bright or bedtime dim. The color stays the same if you turn of the light switch. You can change the color with the remote and it will stay that color no matter how many times you turn the light switch or lamp on/off. I have been using them for a couple months now. I have replaced all the lights in the house with these. So now we have plenty or remotes! Exactly as advertised. Price is worth every penny. Also, my hubby dropped a light bulb on the floor and the top popped off. We popped the top back on and it still works perfectly.
