Great product idea, but some bugs need to be worked out.
My 90 year old father had a bad fall a few weeks back and, as a result, lost a good amount of his mobility. I went searching for a table that swiveled and could be used with a lift chair (recliner). Lo and behold, the EZ table was just what I was looking for and more. Not only is it made to be used with a lift chair, but there are no legs to become a tripping hazard. I would have rated this product with five stars, but have not for the following reasons:1. The assembly instruction sheet fails to tell you to make sure to lubricate all the moveable parts before assembling; the only mention of lubrication is at the end of the instructions and only after the unit has been used awhile. This would lead you to believe that the unit comes pre-lubricated....it does not....or at least this one did not. The moveable parts were so stiff and difficult to move there would be no way for my elderly father to use it. My brother and I had to pour almost an entire small bottle of lubricating oil down the upright part of the unit and move the parts about 50 times to get everything moving freely. It works fine now; we just have to keep cleaning the oil that keeps seeping out into the bottom tray of the unit. Thank goodness the base tray has a slight lip that keeps the oild from oozing out onto the floor!2. Before we realized we could free up all the moving parts with oil, we thought about taking the unit apart and shipping it back. Well, you can't do that because once you assemble the unit, it can't be disassembled without breaking it. This would render it non-returnable! Nowhere on the instructions could I find where it stated that. I had to search several websites that offer the same table to find out that information. It should be designed to be able to take apart. Especially if one needs to move it to another location because it will topple over if something is not weighing down the base.3. The tabletop itself is a woodgrain paper type laminate over particle board (which most products are these days). The color in all the pictures I could find show it to be a light wood color. It actually is a medium to dark color. Ours came slightly damaged. It must have been packaged with the damage because the box it was shipped in had no signs of damage at all. We could live with this since it doesn't interfere with the use of the table; it was just disappointing to receive our product that way.All in all, we love the design of the table and my father finds it to be very convenient. I would recommend this table with the warning of making sure all parts are pre-lubricated and the table top is not damaged before attempting to assemble..

Not bad. Could be better
This table is designed to work with the lift chair my mother owns. It is functional and certainly better than having her always working with things in her lap but a few things could be better... The table top is a rather tacky looking dark plastic walnut laminate. Next to a nice, expensive leather chair, I'd like to see something of higher quality - or at least some other options for laminate finishes. Her chair arms are padded and, though they looked like the ones shown in various pictures online, the padding caused us to have to position the table further away from the chair than is ideal. This causes it to be a bit less stable and also makes it so that the table, when swung over the lap, doesn't cross the entire lap. We have a right side table and when it is positioned over the lap, there is a open gap of about 1 to 1 1/2 feet on her left side, with not table and no where to put her left arm or elbow if she needed to. If you have to position the table away from the padded arm, the lower plate could be both wider and longer to accommodate varied positions. If you have any tummy on you at all, the table will need to be positioned forward, in front of the arm, so there is room for your body when the table is over your lap. It took a while for her to be able to make the table go up and down on her own, from the seated position but once we repeated it about a dozen times, it moved more easily. Lubricating the pivot point at the base and on the shaft of the leg doesn't hurt either. All in all, it is functional and for someone with limited mobility, it should make things like reading, writing, drawing, eating or using a computer or tablet in the chair, a more comfortable experience.

swing table
I bought this for my mother so that she would be able to sit in her lift chair with her feet elevated and still use her desktop computer. So far it has been excellent. Mom is able to move the table out of the way to get up and swing it back into place when she wants to get on the computer without any problems. The table top is the same size as most hospital bed tables so there is plenty of room for her monitor, mouse and keyboard.I did make sure that I had some white grease to lubricate the moving parts before putting it together as advised by another reviewer. I opened the box at my home intending to put it together there then take it to mom at the nursing home. I figured that would save me trips for forgotten tools and whatnot. When I opened the box and read the directions though I realized I needed to put it together at the home as the base needs to be set under the chair legs so that it doesn't tip over when you add the table top. So I duct taped the box shut, took the directions and made sure I had the tools I needed and then used my hand-truck and pickup to get it to mom's room at the home. Luckily her room is at the end of the hall with an outside access door that I can use to get in without traipsing through the whole home. It is heavy, I think somewhere I read around 40+ pounds so I didn't want to hurt myself moving it.All in all with proper lubrication and a heavy enough chair to set the plate under this is an excellent piece of equipment. I'm even thinking about getting one for my recliner as I really should be keeping my legs elevated.

Adjustable table works Nicely.
This has worked out very well for me. The adjustable table height and the 360˚ rotation allows me to customize for the area I have placed it in. It is durable and can hold the weight I have put on it (I haven't tested how much it can hold). I have a keyboard, mouse, and my arms pressing down on it. The downsides of this table is that it does not counterbalance itself. Although it is a bit heavy, its base has to be under a heavy object such as the chair you are sitting in. The tables are made to be either left or right side of the chair so you can't change the side of the chair you can use it.I give it four stars because it does work out so well for me.
