The best knife
I've had this knife for seven years and used it every day. It's so comfortable and reliable, it's the best knife I've ever had. I sharpen it occasionally and never put it in the dishwasher.

The Best Kitchen knife ive ever owned! Actually stays sharp & Quality feel!
Ive allways been the type of person who will buy the cheapie set of Tesco, Laser, etc sets of knifes for about £20 a set, theyve been ok but all suffered with loosing edge quick, just not cutting well etc etc. So i thought i would plonk that amount of cash down on one decent knife - hence the purchase of this KOI ARTISAN.Firstly I was really taken aback by the lovely presentation box, this knife now actually lives in this box!Secondly, the balance and feel of the knife is superb, it really does OOZE quality with a lovely wooden laminated handle and ;aser etched Damascas pattern on the blade. In use, this knife hands down beats every other kitchen knife ive ever owned! I have now owned it for a while, weve had a few parties & family get togethers over Christmas and this knife has carved all the meats, prepared all the veg , Fruit, opened parcels (naughty i know!) and has still held it edge and is razor sharp. My other knives ive owned would have all been sharpened multiple times. I will definately be looking now to purchase more of these to build up a set and throw all the other junk away!

Looks great
Over time my knives have disappeared or reached the end of their useful life so, when my last knife slipped and fell into the small gap between an unmovable washing machine and a built-in cabinet I decided to give myself a Christmas present and bought several Koi knives.Haven't done any slicing yet but they appear good and sharp. The blade and handle look attractive and, which is more important, have a nice feel and balance.

Not true Damascus blade
Although not a true Damascus blade the etched finish adds to the overall appeal. The knife is well made and extremely sharp. The handle is well shapoed and gives you an excellent grip. Excellent value for the money as to get a true Damascus blade you could spend ten times as much. Should last a long time if looked after.

Excellent
Boning knife...I've always bought 'standard' knives, as I'm not even an amateur chef never mind a professional. I think the most I've ever spent before this was maybe a tenner... I honestly did not think there could possibly be much difference between a supermarket bought knife and a more expensive one like this.I was very wrong. This was a panic buy as I had packed most of my stuff for moving, then realised I still had a load of chicken in the freezer.(I make jerky for my pets)This knife cut through both the frozen and the thawed stuff like cutting through soft butter. My arthritic hands were happy, and I managed to slice so thin I took nearly four hours off dehydrating time.I now plan to save up and treat myself one at a time. I might even get to enjoy cooking again.10/10 would highly recommend.

Good but rubbish! *Amended Review
Got this back in October, beautiful knife for the money, sharp edge and comfortable handle.Always hand washed and never dropped.Today cutting sweet potato the knife just snapped!Disgusted at the quality! I’ve had knifes 1/4 of the money last many years, I don’t understand how it even happened.***I contacted the sell and they sorted a replacement out very quickly, it broke on the Friday and I received the replacement today on the Tuesday. No quibble replacement

Sharp, well-weighted and elegant
I love KOI Artisan blades. My brother got me a Damascus steel range for Christmas. I was blown away by the quality of the blade and since have decided to buy the set. The Damascus steel versions are expensive though and I needed a blade of this size, immediately, so I got this one from the standard range. Honestly though, forget the word "standard"; there is no reduction in quality. It's an amazing blade - sharp, well weighted and elegant. I only own 2 cooking knives now; This is one of them

Perfect for chopping tomatoes and onions
This is a great all round knife. It slices well through onions, tomatoes and chicken breasts. I love using it. It’s important to keep it sharp, so I sharpen every time I use it. I hand wash my knives as they tend to last longer. It’s great quality and I would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, good quality utility knife.
