Not a reinvention of their sound, but superb nonetheless
Don't expect something with the urgency and vive of Bad Blood. There are few soaring Icarus- or Pompeii-esque choruses Instead, think about the songcraft that made the highlights of Wild World: Blame, Warmth, Glory - this album is in keeping with that same sense of melancholy and, ultimately, euphoria.I first listened to this album on release day after having been out with friends. Laying there in a half-drunken daze, it was as if the album was explaining the dreamy weightlessness I was experiencing. The album tells a story - it is a gripping, congruent narrative that works best as a whole. The songs seemlessly and impressively segue into one another, creating a convincing story of a person capturing every second of a night out - regrets and all - before waking up the following morning trying to piece it all together.Quarter Past Midnight is one of the more immediate standouts on the album - impressive considering it has been on our playlists for over a year - but its place as the opening chapter in this chronicle gives it new life. Bad Decisions and Another Place are also equally enjoyable, before the soaring crescendos of Joy bring an otherwise melancholy album to an upbeat conclusion.

My current musical addiction!
Absolutely love this new album by Bastille; initially held back from purchasing it in the hope of a special addition version, but couldn't wait any longer! Unmistakable Bastille sound but not 'just another album'. Treamendously atmosphere music, brilliant storylines in the lyrics; I wanted to pick out a favourite track or two but it's a struggle, they're all great, if I had to choose one probably 'Thoes nights'. If you're a Bastille fan you probably already have this, if you haven't, get it; if you're new to Bastille - get it, then buy their back catalogue!Happy listening!

Brilliant album, Love everything they do.
This is another anthemic album from Bastille. Every track is great and well crafted. I am biased, as I do love Bastille, but they just seem to have aknack of pushing the envelope every time. Normally there would be the odd track on CD's that aren't up to scratch, but I don't believe this album has any. Highly recommended, especially the track 'Joy'.

Boom days!
I really like this album. I find it is better than second one and as good as 'Bad blood'. Stand out tracks for me at the moment are, 'Those nights', 'Doom days', 'Joy' and '4 AM'. This album is growing on me all the time and this list will surely get longer. 5 stars for this album.

Quality album
Been to see these guys a few times and they always blow me away. This album has been so cleverly done, the whole thing is set over the space of one night and rather than track 1, track 2, it is the time starting at a quarter past midnight. 😎

A bit basic
Item reasonably priced but album seemed really short and lacking the usual Bastille “wow” or “joy” you usually have. Not very impressed; which is a shame. Haven’t fallen in love with it the same way as others and less inclined to listen to it again quickly 🙈
