Joseph Haydn, The Merry Little Peasant Paperback – May 24, 2010

Love the zeezok great musicians and have already purchased and completed them as part of our composer studies. I am a little disappointed that th is book was sent already used with the spine broken and the book doesn’t lay flat as the pages inside are crinkled.

so refreshing to read basic truth and facts about famous musicians -

We used this book as our introduction to studying Haydn. All the highlights are there in great narrative form. I recommend the accompanying CD and the coloring pages you can print off from it.

This book fits our needs for a biography for our homeschooling children. However it is obvious that it is meant to be paired with a CD which I did not realize and so they should probably be packaged together.

This is a great book for early music appreciation. My children have really enjoyed reading this together. I highly recommend this book.

This book was a publishing disaster! The first 50 plus pages of the book were missing entirely, and then every two pages the following two pages were blank - completely missing! The first page was page 53, then what would have been pages 54 & 55 were completely blank. Then pages 56 & 57 were there, but the next two pages (what would have been pages 58& 59) were completely blank. This pattern continued for the rest of the publication. The last printed page was 117, although it does not appear that this was actually the final page. How could this be actually sold as a complete book?

Love this series and most of Opal Wheelers books. Nice short history of various composers. Sweet ink illustrations throughout.
