Fiddly but works well
The instructions were a bit difficult to follow and it took a couple of goes to work out exactly what to do. Once I had cottoned on they were simple and did the job perfectly. Very ingenious and a well made solution to fitting a removeable tiled bath panel neatly and effectively.

Great idea, some issues
This is a great idea, and I have used it on my bath box which needed access panels in two places. It means there are no visible screws. My application uses 20mm thick Schluter Kerdi board and this is then tiled with 10mm thick limestone tiles. I found that the red plastic templates for positioning the attachment screws are actually useless. You cannot use them if your panel is a close fit like mine which is cut out from the wall of your bathbox, as you cannot fit your panel because the templates are too big! So although I ordered the kit with extra templates, I would advise anyone in the same situation to order the kit with just two templates as they will most likely be unusable anyway. It is just as easy to pop one of the round grommets onto one of the supplied plastic brackets, and hold it in position whilst marking the three hole positions with a pen or pencil. If your panel sits on top of a frame, and does not fit inside a frame so that it is flush, then you can use the brackets and they are useful for getting the screw positions in the right place. My use of Kerdi board meant screwing the brackets to the board. Kerdi is only made of polystyrene foam, with fabric skin, so I was a bit concerned that the screws would pull out of the foam. Provided you use a decent size M5 flat head screw it will hold well enough. The panels are not designed to be removed frequently, and I have found the brackets to be quite secure. Next problem is that the grommets are far too tight a fit in the brackets. It’s very difficult to push a grommet into a bracket by hand, and almost impossible to pulls out. As supplied, your panel could get broken when trying to remove it, because the grip is so strong. However, there is an easy fix. Take a Stanley knife and cut small amounts off the opening to each bracket, in order to widen the gap that the grommet has to pass through. I found that 1mm off each point was required so that the grommet could be removed without fear of damaging the panel or pulling out screws etc. With this small mod applied the brackets still hold my panels extremely firmly. So, great idea, but the templates can only be used where the panel sits on a frame and not inside it, and the grip is far too strong for most panels which are usually quite flimsy plastic. If you have thick stiff marine ply or MDF for the panel and frame, you may be ok with the tight grip of the brackets, but I would still be tempted to shave off small amounts from the bracket apertures to make the panel removal less of a worry.

All good
All good, 1st time user, easy install, just screw the wheel onto the wood upright, put on the plastic bit for the door and the red marker then offer up the access panel and bang it then easy can see where to screw on the access panel.

Buy more marker tools
Definitely but as many marker tools as you have fixings so you can mark the whole board etc in one go. This will make using te fxings quicker to install. Great product though for removable panels, strong and secure but easily removed.
