I’ve been walking my dogs with a retractable leash, which I love, and also carrying a mini flashlight at night. I have tried a few other retractable with lights built in, but usually had one of two issues... the light either was really faint, or the handle didn’t fit my hand very well. This leash seems to do a great job with both. The handle is comfortable, even with my large hands, and the light is bright enough for me to feel safe and be able to locate and pick up any dog discards. I’m going to look and see if they make them for larger dogs, so both my kids get a new leash!

I would love this if it was a cord and not a stupid ribbon. The ribbon is so lightweight the wind blows it and it doesn't retract properly. Like there will be slack in the line and it won't pull in by itself you will have to manually do it. Sometimes it does on its own though. Other than that flashlight works great, buttons are kinda cheap and don't always work right. Those also get jammed. Bag holder waa great. Feel is really nice in your hand. Doesn't "snap" too hard but way harder than it should for a leash that doesn't even retract half the time.**update** The line practically stopped retracting at all. By itself anyways. The ribbon they used is so crappy that it just folds over on itself and gets jammed . The batteries went out on the flashlight and normally they last way longer with these. Product works great for about a month if you disregard the fact that the line is so weak the wind can blow it and then after that it stops working at all. Spend a couple more dollars and get a better one. In fact I just bought one from Burlington that came with three tennis balls for free and also has the flashlight and it has a cord ribbon! It is made for bigger dogs but I don't care it works excellent I couldn't believe I found it for $8! No more dealing with this thing thank God because it makes me in such a bad mood when I'm already dealing with a crazy little boy running around I will have more time to actually watch what he's doing instead of sitting there messing with this stupid leash. $17 totally wasted.

Overall I like it... it’s light, convenient... but I have one concern with the safety. Almost right away the line bent in half and it tends to bind up or not always retract like it should. Typically it works fine but there was one day I needed it retract so I could lock it and I couldn’t get it to reel in.It’s normally fine and I do like it... but, this is potentially a safety risk to be aware of.*** UPDATE - 11/3/2020 *** It doesn't work for us anymore. The line has gotten so kinked even with us being extra careful... and there are too many times I need it to retract and it does not. Since it is now a safety issue 5 months after buying it, I will need to replace it and can not recommend it to anybody due to safety concerns.*** Update 1/2/21 ***The manufacturer sent me a replacement unit. I was really hopeful but after about a month the leash line is starting to kink again. Had a scary moment where I needed it to retract and it wouldn’t so I had to quickly manually pull it in. So still gonna need to replace it.

The first night that we used the light, we had issues with the flashlight. It survived about 10 minutes before it died. There were no extra batteries in the package. I purchased new batteries and it again died within the 10 minute walk.In addition it is awkward to have the dog extend the leash and try and use the stop extending feature. It is not easy to unlock once it locks into a place so that at times I ended up with slack that I didn't want because the leash was locked into a certain length.Definitely not worth the money

I so wanted to love these but... if you are accustomed to retractable leashes, most older styles have cord rather than ribbons. By the end of week 1, the tape had begun to fold and stick, making retraction difficult. Each day since has become much more frustrating. Additionally, one of the two I purchased has run out of battery life for the light and it appears you must remove some tiny screws and open the entire leash For is, these were less than ideal as we walk our furry kids 5+ times every single day. If you just need it occasionally, might be a better match.

This leash is great. I love the light that it has on the front and i dont have to use my phone anymore. The package was really nice and the leash it neatly decorated. Usually i dont like to go outside when its cold, so i can stay indoors and my dog can be outside up to 5 meters away from me. The bag dispensor is really handy and I don’t have to carry a bunch of bags anymore. I definitely recomend it. Its the best leash i have ever baught.

I really liked this leash set. It was long and had a nice light which would be amazing for night walks. I also loved that it came in pink. 3 of my preferences in a retractable leash. But a week after using, the light stopped working. I ordered the little batteries it took and changed them. The light worked once more. But a day or so after the batteries were replaced, it again stopped working. So I’m debating whether I should change the batteries again or request a refund. If it were only the light that was at issue, but it’s also the retraction. It’s stopping halfway and you have to slowly retract inch by inch to check for small folds in the leash. It’s a little cheap. But it still works. Not as you expected it to, but it’s usable.

I got this for my mother. She takes the dog out at night so the light on it was a big seller for me. It didn't need batteries .This was so light even someone shaky or in a wheelchair could handle this. It just winds up with a touch of a button. So you can safely get your pooch back in before you unclick and tap the button to roll it back in.The travel water_food dish was very cool. You could get a bottle of water and just pour it in!It also came with a cute little bone that clios on with little bags for any mess left, so your neighbors won't get pissed.
