Cutting and Adhesive
I just got these. I haven't installed them yet. Testing looks good.Mine are going to be mounted flat on the outside of the taillight. It's approx 11" so I needed to cut them. You have to look on the edge where you see the individual LEDs, and cut between them. Line your scissors up squarely in the middle and CUT. It takes some effort.Remove the cap from the cut and, use some silicone adhesive in the inside of the cap, and reattach the cap to the strip. As far as adhesive on both sides, if you're mounting it in the gap with just the edge showing, it's not a real issue. Mine are going to be flat mounted. You can remove the adhesive strip from the exposed side. What I did with mine was to get some chrome Pinstripe tape, and put it down the center of the strip. If you leave the white adhesive it covers it just fine.I will revise this review after they are installed and working for a while.Since I am installing them flat, I am using 3M Super Strength Moulding Adhesive tape to attach them to the chrome strip on the lamp assy. I have had a set of PIAA LED GLOW DRLs in the front of the car installed this way for 3 years now.Addition:I finally got them installed, thanks to some nice weather.I set the rears up as rear DRLs, with a 10 second delay. By the time I got done it was late, so I went in for a while.Like I said, I mounted them outside, flat against the bottom of the tail light, and covered the iindividual LEDs with dual stripe chrome pinstripe. I too a small trip after dark. These things are BRIGHT! They could be used for additional stop lamps. I think they increased my rearward visibility by about 100 feet. And when the turn signal kicks in, I see the yellow light from these instead of the orange from the OEMs.Since this was the first day, durability may be an issue, and I will update my results as time goes on. But, initially, I am very pleased with their performance!

Pretty well used / Motorcycle
The media could not be loaded. I use them on my 1989 Goldwing motorcycle as running lights and turn signals. They are very bright at night and an attention getter. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the fact that the double sided tape is on both sides. I would prefer to put the double sided tape on which ever side I chose. I use Goof off and some WD 40 to remove the double sided tape. And I also wrapped the strips in the Headlight Dark Tint so that it blends in with my black motorcycle so when I turn them off you don't see them. The first picture is of just the light strip installed and the second is with the gactory light bar above the light strip

Looks pretty clean
Putting them on was pretty easy...put my own double sided tape on it...makes my 2006 look a lil more modern at night atleast lol

Not to bad, read for more info
If your thinking about buying these, do that. They work wonderfully and they look great if you want something temporary as a mock up. As for permanent don't expect that, I've owned them for a bit and they gave out about 3 months in. The gauge wire used burned up due to the output on my car (Wish they would give a bigger gauge wire for this reason) also if your installing please remove the double sided tape and get a clear doubled sided tape from Walmart or Amazon to replace it (My suggestion is Walmart it's called Alien Tape its $20 and works great) the doubled sided tape they use comes off from rain after 2 or 3 times of getting wet

Good lights.. take your time installing
I used these on the back end of my car... they work great, however as stated they are solid red, and can hook up to the turn signals. The main complaint I have is that it's so ass backwards in wiring in my opinion. The wiring is at its furthest point away from the actual wiring your hooking into. I feel if your creating something that switches to a turn signal you'd want the wires facing that direction, so I can see how people get confused. I spent extra time with a volt meter and testing them to identify the correct way to install them. They look great but for my car I need the full length coverage... which these were not intended for the back endnof the car lol. Overall they're great!Oh also the wiring is tiny.. such a pain in the... yeah... it's like a 20 or 22 gauge... possibly smaller? Just a heads up lol

ITake back my last review. Finally got them to work and they look great
Was a little disappointed as they did not work on my motorcycle they look good testing off the battery but once connected they did not work at all the red is more like a pink magenta not very bright at all. Laughable to think he could use them during daytime running lights. You’d have to be in the woods in the middle of the night to really see them

LOOKED nice, but the problems weren't worth it...
Well for starters let me first say that I'm actually an electrician by trade so keep that in my mind, even though car's electric is slightly different. So the idea of trying out the lights on the outside before I did a more comprehensive upgrade to my lights sounded like a good idea. I mean what harm could it cause right? So I followed the directions ran Everything nice and neat, and after I installed them I was quite surprised at how nice they looked. Unfortunately, the second I went to lock my car door from the key fob, I noticed the locks wouldn't lock and therefore my alarm wasn't on. I thought hey it's only one night, I'll get a replacement battery in the morning. Next day got a new duracell battery for my key fob and still nothing. It wouldn't lock, unlock or anything. I have a convertible and holding the unlock button down on the key fob for a few secs will roll down the windows and then open up the top. Well while at work the other day I ran to my car, (opened the door manually) then ran back to the jobsite. At lunch I had a guy approach me and start asking me if I meant to put my roof down when I left. I thought the guy was nuts until I realized what he was saying. So apparently after I walked away from my car, the top automatically opened up leaving my car exposed to anyone that would've walked by. If it wasn't for that guy staying by my car until he saw me later on, (He lived across the street) I would've been screwed. After doing research I finally figured out that LED's like these can cause cars electrical systems to go haywire and cause them to do all sorts of crazy things. I cut the wires immediately but the car is still acting up. Not happy
